Project Summary

I’ve involved extensively on Windows Application and on few projects in Smart document technology, GDI+. In business domain wise I’ve got exposure to Health Care, ERP and Banking domain. Environment wise have consulted in Product based and Service based companies. I have played in a blend of many roles during the SDLC cycle of these projects. Out of all my project experience a brief summary of last 5 projects mentioned below:

1. COMPOSE (Investment Banking Product – Web Application - In Thomson Reuters)

Technical Environment

Windows X, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Vb6, SQL Server 2008, MS Word/Excel, XML, XSLT, XPath. [MVC, HTML, Prince PDF generator, LINQ, Structure Map…etc.]

Added values to project Involved in the design phase and in providing solution/feedback for the performance optimization of

many areas in the product development. Own the Product - Client consulting (Pre-Sales demo, requirement gathering, triage/all conference calls,

scope finalization…etc.) process and monitor the team for many large clients. Completely own (product roadmap, design, development, enhancements and bug fixes) the office based

solution which is an important module of the main Product from idea to production. Assist the product stakeholders in Pre-sales process. Significantly contributed in the RPD process for the global launch of the product. Acting as technical manager contact for production support of complete product for many global clients

and assure the production SLAs are maintained across. Acting and driving the team as global delivery manager of all client releases for the complete product. Worked as integration developer for other Thomson Reuters Product (DataStream Charts, T1

Application…etc.) to integrate some main features of COMPOSE product. Took the complete responsibility for AGI – Germany client and executed successfully delivery of the

product which does the complete automation of their investment research services. This solution reduces their effort/time to prepare reports by 60-70% in comparison to earlier manual process.

Developed few Client specific POC models of the product (by customizing). Also extend my timings for the development, enhancements and bug fixing of the core web product. Involved in the recruitment and training of the new team members for the Product. Adhered to TDD and best practices and assured that the development team continues the practice in this

product development.

2. TRAS (Investment Banking Product – Smart Windows Client Application - In Thomson Reuters)

Windows XP, VB.NET, Smart Documents Technology Library, MS Word/Excel 2003, Office 12, VSTO, XML, XSLT, XPath, Infragistics.

Added values to project Joined the team in Product development and enhancement phase and have implemented many features

and enhancements and also have fixed bugs along with gaining the domain knowledge. Completely owned many of the Product global releases (multi region wise) for clients like Morgan

Stanley. Drove the triage conference calls and scope finalization of Client consulting process and the team for

execution of the global implementations. Acting as technical manager contact for production support of complete product for many global clients

and assure the production SLAs are maintained across. Took the complete responsibility for setting up the new team for taking further

development/enhancements of the product. Developed few Client specific POC models of the product (by customizing). Took responsibility of many client implementations (like Citi Group, Brean Murray, FTN Midwest,

Smith Barney…etc.) for the product and executed it successfully. Investigated and implemented many changes to the product for running the same product in Office 2003

and Office 12 version. Investigated on few of the MS Word crashing issues and interacted with Microsoft for getting patch

fixes.

3. Bankers Realm (Retail Banking Product – Windows Application - In Craft Silicon)

Added values to project Learnt the domain knowledge (in Kenya) and implemented many of the modules like Client

Maintenance, Account Maintenance, Deposits (Saving deposits, Fixed Deposits, Call Deposits, and Other Time Deposits), Overdraft, Loans Management, Bill Discounting, Letter Of Credit, Treasury bill, Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Transaction, Accounts.

Developed many of the SQL server stored procedures to have the business rule in an optimized way. Set up a 15 member of team starting from recruitment, training and people management in Bangalore. Managed and prepared the team for further client implementations and enhancements, bug fixing and

supporting of the product. Carried out successfully few of the African client implementations.

4. Bankers Realm MFO (Micro Finance Banking Product – Windows Application - In Craft Silicon)

Developed many of the reports using Crystal reports and implemented the third party controls like Infragistics.

Set up a 5 member of team starting from recruitment, training and people management in Bangalore. Managed and prepared the team for further client implementations and enhancements, bug fixing and

supporting of the product. Carried out successfully few of the African client implementations.

5. TOPSERP (ERP Product – Windows Application - In Neosoft Technologies)

Added values to project Joined the team extensively to develop the GDI+ module as Planning Board of the Product (which is like

MS Project planning tool) to be used in the Garments manufacturing sector. Interacted with few clients to analyze and gather the requirement for the Planning Board module. Investigated and doing some R&D executed the module successfully within 1 month of time (as working

in GDI+ was my first experience and there were not much technical information/resource help available) Later customized the Planning Board module up to one level so that it can be operated independently

and pluggable with other dot net applications. Monitored 3 members of team for execution of other modules. Planning Board: This is an actually a Planner utility application like MS Project. This was developed for

particularly Garment industry but can be customized to suit any kind of industry, which includes Planning of their processes as a main job. This actually plans the day-to-day activities of raw material collecting, production, manufacturing, delivering, and shipping of the final product to client. In this we could plan daily, weekly & monthly wise & at the end it gives a graphical representation of the resources used for the assignment & manpower used. Also it can identify where we are exceeding our plan, where the manpower used more ….etc.
