Extending & combining existing Density Functional Theories to generate new methods capable of modeling the adsorption of fluid molecules with much greater detail than was previously possible, except through molecular simulation. This was done by writing new codes using programming language such as Fortran. I PowerPoint presented my results in front of the rest of the research group as well as writing a report of my findings. The end-products of this research area are silicon chips.

With my organic chemistry knowledge, I synthesised spherical, ultra-high specific surface area (> 1,600 m2 g-1) monodisperse polymer microspheres with diameters in the low micrometer region (100 nm -10 µm) by precipitation polymerisation. I PowerPoint presented my results in front of the rest of the research group as well as writing a report of my findings. The end-products of this research area are spheres which offer ultra-high surface areas & thus many sites for chemical reactions.
