PRESENT POSITIONS:
1) Social and Humanitarian
27th August 2011: Founder and President of Yemen Centre for Transitional Justice, established
on 27 August 2011.
Activities in Transitional Justice:
30-31 October 2011: Dr. Yasin Al-Qubati - Head of the Yemeni Center for Transitional Justice –
participated by a paper at the conference of "Transitional Justice in Egypt and the Middle East.
" Challenges and Opportunities", held in Cairo from 30 to October 31, on the second day at the
Fifth Session - Voices for Justice in the territory of the Middle East (Bahrain - Syria - Yemen). He
talked about the situation of human rights in Yemen before and after the outbreak of the
revolution and the status of the independence of the judiciary in Yemen, according to
international standards for the independence of the judiciary, and the required reforms in the
institution of the judiciary.
Participated in supporting life of Internally Displaced Population in Yemen because of the
Civilian wars started 21st of September 2014 until now.
Participated regularly in several TV interviews since February 2011 revolution in Yemen until
today.
22 January 2012 : Led a delegation of representatives of the Yemeni civil society and
International non-governmental Human Rights organizations by Dr. Yasin Al Qubati and Mrs.
Anna Kotzeva, Director of the Peace and Justice Initiative (PJI) based in The Hague, and visited
the seat of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, Netherlands. Met with officials
from the Office of the Prosecutor (OTP), the Presidency and the Registry to discuss the way
forward and the procedures for the ratification by Yemen of the Rome Statute, the treaty that
established the ICC.
14th June 2012: held an international conference in transitional Justice in Taiz attended by
international organizations and civil society organizations.
16-18th June 2012: Participated in The consultative workshop with civil society organizations
on transitional justice programs and the establishment of the National Independent Human
Rights Commission
24-28 September 2012 Participation in the Fourth Intensive Course on Truth-Seeking
September 24-28, 2012 | Barcelona, Spain organized by The International Center for

Transitional Justice (ICTJ), in partnership with the Barcelona International Peace Resource
Center (BIPRC).
May 20-24,2013 Participated in the Middle East-North Africa Regional Istanbul Protocol
Training on the Effective Medical Documentation of Torture and ill Treatment Istanbul, Turkey
organized by Physician for Human Rights International.
During 2015 war formulation of a unit in YCTJ called #War_Victims_Releif which participated
actively up till now in giving food, water and drugs for the war victims,

Was working as a dermatologist and venereologist in the in- and out-patients department of
the university hospital; Helping in clinical education of medical students; Doing research work

1980 - 1982: Director, Environmental Health and Sanitation, Taiz, Republic of Yemen.
Monitoring factors affecting health in Taiz city and controlling the sanitary conditions and
supervising the process of solid and liquid waste disposal, street animals control, insects
control and supervision of cleanliness certification for the places handling food.
1983 - 1988: Director, Al-Gomhoria Hospital, Taiz, Republic of Yemen.
Management and administration of a 320 beds general hospital with 650 employees
consisting of various sections for chest and tuberculosis, internal medicine, general surgery,
obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric and dermatology with all supportive departments;
Management of 24 hours emergency section; Supervision and monitoring of the work in the
hospital as well as medical supplies, logistics and provisions; Preparation of budget.
1983 - 1988 Part-time: Director, National Leprosy Control Programme, Taiz, Republic of
Yemen.
Running weekly leprosy clinic and confirming diagnosis of leprosy cases; organizing campaign
with the help of international consultants for treatment of special leprosy complications like
eye problems and limbs deformities; Procurement of drugs and other supplies for leprosy
patients.
