AMERICAN BUREAU OF SHIPPING (ABS). 4/2011-4/2012. Assignment: ABS Marine Surveyor (Senior QAQC

Inspector).

JINGJIANG STATION, NEW TIMES SHIPYARD & NEW YANG ZI SHIPYARD, P. R. of CHINA. I worked as a Marine Surveyor in this Shipyard, ensuring that all activities regarding ships in construction were totally under

ABS Rules. Each vessel was considered a Project and each Surveyor was responsible for all activities regarding the specific ship which

had been put under his supervision.

I also managed welding codes such as AWS.

SAIPEM (ENI GROUP, ITALY). 9/2007-1/2011. QA/QC Piping / Structural Inspector. PLV PROJECT, YANTAI, CHINA. 3/2008- 1/2011. Assignment: QC Piping / Structural Inspector. I worked as QA/QC Piping / Structural Inspector in construction of a pipe laying vessel. I also covered holiday of other

inspectors. Ship contained many different pipe systems such as: Fuel Oil, Sea water, discharge water, Lube oil, and others.

I was the only QA/QC Inspector in City of Wei Hai, where the accommodation (1/4 of this 330 m length vessel) segment for dormitories and offices was built. This ship was expected to carry more than 700 people and worth more than USD 1000M.

Ship was being built in cities of Yan Tai, Wei Hai and Hai Yang. I daily communicated in English with my workmates, who come from Counties like: Turkey, Philippines, Croatia, China, Italy,

Scotland and India.

I was in charge of reporting to main office in Yantai City the progress of the construction in my worksite. I managed following codes: AWS, IACS, ABS, ASME, API, among others.

SNAMPROGETTI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. 9/2007-2/2008. Assignment: QAQC Piping Inspector. I worked as QA/QC Piping Inspector in in 3rd NGL Train in Ruwais, UAE.

I daily communicated in English with my Partners, who came from Counties like: Egypt, Philippines, Colombia, Rumania, Pakistan, Mexico, Italy and India.

I managed codes belonging to UAE National Company Gasco, and others like: API, AWS, ASNT.

COUNTRY MOTORS S.A. 10/2006-9/2007. Assignment: Manager of Service Department, of the main General Motors (GM) dealer in Colombian North Atlantic Shore. I commanded more than 60 technicians besides administrative staff, and repaired up to 75 cars per day, from Monday to

Saturday. I managed main shop in Barranquilla and smaller branches in Monteria and Sincelejo.

I commanded Quality Program and head monthly invoicing. I was responsible of most Company`s KPI which are used by GM to evaluate Shop and assign Cost-Per-Hour to be covered

by each dealer to GM in warranty works. I headed projects which led Shop to increase account from US$ 200 to close US$ 325K per month.

I headed projects to obtain re-assessment of Shop from C category to B under GM Colombian standards. SHELL COLOMBIA S. A. 07/2005-10/2006. Assignment: Operations Supervisor.

I was in charge of managing 30 contractors and to handle and deliver to all Cerrejon Mine clients Lubricants and Fuel Oil for their facilities and machines.

We transferred fuel from ship to mine tanks, through Port tanks and rail road tanks. I was responsible of finding out arriving cuantities and to cover to client.

I used to receive a tanker ship every 45 days, carrying up to 7 Million gallons of Diesel. I managed diesel and lubricants inventory for the client.

We managed close to 5 million gallon of diesel monthly. I was in charge of maintenance, operation, and projects to improve Plants and diesel fuel transportation/operation

performance. MECANICOS ASOCIADOS, 8/2004-07/2005. Assignment: Maintenance Field & Shop Welding Supervisor in Cerrejon

Coal Mine. I organized and planed activities in shop and field. In this job I commanded more than 35 welders, working in 12 hours

shifts. Duties performed in 2000-2001 period hold. I took part in special activities/projects like mine heavy equipment rebuilding, which was done within strict schedules and

fixed resources.

CERREJON COAL MINEY (former INTERCOR), (currently a BHP Billiton Company). 9/2001-6/2004. Assignment:

Projects Analyst.

I worked as Projects Analyst at Cerrejon Mine, designing and managing wide kind of projects, from Mine Exportation Port (Puerto Bolivar), 120miles Railroad, and Mine facilities, which were implemented to improve mine performance and make

Company more competitive in global market. I ran internal clients budget and had no-accidents at all. I got information of most mine facilities and systems performance to decide when was the right moment to intervene them.

Stenghs: Responsibility, direction and planning capacity, ability to wotk in teams.

I ran wide kind of projects, individually worthy up to US $ 100K. I was able to communicate in English and Spanish.

I managed wide kind of contractors. MECANICOS ASOCIADOS, 9/2000-9/2001. Assignment: Maintenance Welding Field Supervisor at Cerrejon Coal Mine.

I worked as an on-site mines equipment (excavators, tractors, trucks, drillers, etc) maintenance supervisor in their repairing/rebuilding by welding. This process is accomplished through: SMAW, FCAW, GMAW-MIG, Oxy Gas Cutting; a

Bending Machine; and some Machining Tools. This happened in world biggest open pit coal mine, El Cerrejon. I planned, scheduled and led projects which target was according to Mine priorities and master plan. In this job I commanded close to 20 welders and worked in 12 hours shift style.

I had no accidents while this period.

GECOLSA (Unique Colombian Caterpillar Dealer), 5/1997-3/1999. Assignment: Shop Supervisor.

My job at Gecolsa consisted in supervising rollers, idlers, and tractors frames rebuilding by welding (SAW and SMAW).

I also performed Ultrasonic Test over those componts (thicknes measuring), to predict when they should be repaired. I also led field-machining repair team over Caterpillar equipment. These labors were performed through 3300 hours in 2

years, and I commanded 20 technicians all the time. FOSTER-WHEELER ANDINA (FW Subsidiary in Colombia), 8/1996-3/1997. Assignment: QA/QC Construction

Inspector. My job at Foster-Wheeler Andina consisted in 1200 hours in supervising the construction of six tanks of 2500m3 (88000ft3)

and 70m (230ft) length, through 8 months. I used to check non-destructive tests performed by the constructor. The Tests were: Ultrasonic, Gammagraphy, Magnetic

Particles, Liquid Penetrant, and Dimensioning Test.

Tanks were built through Bending, Rolling, Welding and Cutting, according to French CODAP 95 Code. Final tests were performed according to that Code too.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, at UNIVERSIDAD DEL NORTE (COLOMBIA), 1996. The Mechanical Engineering program consists of 5 year of study in the best Colombian University at Atlantic coast.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN HSEQ INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT, Universidad de Catalunya (on line). 2014 - 2015. Program delivers Certificate as Internal Auditor in ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2008, and OHSAS 18001:2007, delivered by Bureau Veritas.
