He has extensive experience and functioned as an Executive/Senior Management Member in Company/Departmental Operations and Governance.

Deon is currently the key driver for Al Rajhi Bank in Saudi Arabia in the redesign and rebuild of
the Data Landscape. Scope of this project stretches from MDM (Master Data Management)
through to the design and build of the Omni Channel, Services and Product Environments.

"Lead Solution Architect for the Reserve Bank on the National Cash Management Solution. Managing a Team of 13 Architects with a project budget of + - R 300M. Togaf 9.0 Levels 1 and 2 Certified Architect with 25 years SDLC and 15 years Architecture experience. Current project involves creating specification in SPARX Toolset across all Architecture layers - Business, Data, Technology, Application and Integration.
The project spans the life cycle of the SA currency from cradle to grave inclusive of all Commercial Banks and Cash in Transit Companies. Project classified as secret, and reporting line extends to the Office of the COO and Deputy Governors.
Project deliverable include 10 and 15 year planning models, and is focused heavily at the strategic layer to enable the Executive to plan and measure the Reserve Bank's performance.
Various Enterprise Architecture Artifacts were created on this project due to the non-ability of the Enterprise Architecture Office to produce Governance Models such as Application and Technology Reference models, Master Data Management Models etc.
A very comprehensive specification was created by this project and vetted by Gartner SA and Deloitte's.
The Bank Executive is currently planning to make these models available to all SADEC Countries in order to allow them to implement a similar Solution. The Project was also identified by the COO as the standard going forward in the Bank in terms of how projects must be implemented and managed.
