CUSTOMIZATION AND SPECIALIZATION ADMINISTRATOR

OBJECTIVE Customization and Specialization Administrator enables users to customize the data models and behavior of 3DEXPERIENCE® platform applications by identifying the standard resources used for a particular collaborative space and introducing their own business rules.

OVERVIEWCustomization and Specialization Administrator enables users to modify the data models of 3DEXPERIENCE platform applications with specific attributes, sub types and extensions (applications relying on collaborative space). Once defined, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform applications will transparently benefit from this customization with the user experience appropriately updated.

Users may list the resources to be used with 3DEXPERIENCE applications when they are operated in the context of a particular collaborative space. In addition, users may define the business rules triggered with particular 3DEXPERIENCE applications operated in the context of a particular collaborative space.

CAPABILITIESCustomization and Specialization Administrator enables 3DEXPERIENCE Data Administrator to provide a host of useful functionality.

Users can extend data models by introducing sub types of objects with a set of new attributes. Final users can choose the sub type of an object to create through the 3DEXPERIENCE applications.

Users can create data extensions that can be applied by final users to enrich an object with a set of attributes. Data extensions can be seen as “dynamic” attributes. The extension can be added automatically to newly created objects.

Users can create unique keys for a set of attributes of objects of a given type.

3DEXPERIENCE Data Administrator enables users to deploy customization on a test server first and then on production servers. Also, users can assign to a collaborative space, the different resources and business rules that can be used by 3DEXPERIENCE applications in the context of this collaborative space.
