About Amadeus Training Amadeus UK offers a variety of training courses to help ensure the most effective training for all trainees. In today�s world it is important that every staff member is as productive as possible and that technology is used as a tool to assist agency productivity rather than hinder it. The Amadeus products are easy to use and intuitive, but like any tool, the user will only be able to maximise the benefits on offer if they are aware of them. Our current Front office products are Amadeus Selling Platform (Vista) and Amadeus Selling Platform (Basic Pack) (Pro Web). Amadeus Selling Platform (Vista) offers a choice of working environment including the well known cryptic command page with our award-winning Speed mode functionality or the fully graphical user interface (GUI). We understand that different users may have a preference for cryptic environment over graphical (or vice versa) and we are able to offer courses that cater to both needs. Additionally, our courses also address the different levels of industry knowledge trainees have (e.g. new starter, previous GDS experience or Amadeus know-how) by offering beginner, intermediate and in some cases supervisory levels. Our latest course addition is the fact that you now have a choice of courses at the intermediate level depending on whether your market is leisure or business travel orientated. Should you require a customised course, we would be happy to discuss the options available to you. In order to arrange any bespoke training, please contact your account manager to discuss potential course content and costing. Beginners � Amadeus selling Platform (Vista) Command Duration: 4 days Course objectives : Learning the Amadeus transaction codes to enable basic reservations and ticketing which means gaining a basic understanding of the GDS and be able to create a standard booking, price and ticket it using the Amadeus cryptic functionality. The focus is on exercise to ensure knowledge learned can be applied back in the office.

IATA Fares and Ticketing Level 1 and 2 Amadeus has joined forces with 'Plane Training � a young, dynamic, but experienced company specialising in GDS training and IATA Fares and Ticketing courses.

Following the closure of the well-known Chameleon Training and Consulting business in 2003 (a wholly owned British Airways company) �Plane Training was born to fill the gap in the travel industry market. �Plane Training still currently employs only ex-Chameleon staff to ensure unrivalled training quality.

�Plane Training has been running IATA Fares and Ticketing level 1 and 2 courses on Amadeus� premises since September 2003. These new syllabus IATA approved and Lufthansa endorsed courses have been very well accepted in the market and the company currently runs one course per month.

If you are new to Amadeus and GDSs, �Plane Training is running, at a cost, a 1-day workshop which will enable students to apply their travel industry knowledge to an Amadeus environment prior to their IATA course.
