Few organizations today are immune to the impact of industry, technological, and

regulatory changes on their business. Shifts in global economics and the mix of available

talent have pushed organizations to rethink their market strategies, processes, and talent

development. Whether this rethinking is referred to as “transformation” or “transition,”

there is typically an accompanying need for new skills and new learning on the part of

some, even many, employees and leaders.

The Center for Professional and Executive Development is devoted to helping

organizations through these transitional moments. Our practice is to partner with

companies, government agencies, and industry associations in articulating the nature of

their unique organizational objectives, identifying new skills necessary to address them

successfully, and building learning solutions for those in need of new skills. One recent

example is preparing physicians for new business roles as healthcare organizations

respond to changes in that industry. Another is developing plant managers to lead the

integration of talent acquired through merger and acquisition activity.

I am confident that everyone reading this message will, in the next year or two, face one

of these transitional moments. Our changing world seems to guarantee this to be true. We

hope when that moment arrives, you consider the Wisconsin School of Business Center

for Professional and Executive Development at the University of Wisconsin–Madison as

your partner in the journey.

YOUR PARTNER IN ACHIEVING STRATEGIC BUSINESS RESULTS.
