Olá! Bem vinda! Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at the Lisbon Airport, retrieve your baggage and

proceed to the arrivals hall. Here meet your private driver, holding a sign with your name, for transfer

to your hotel in the center of the city. Please note official check in time is 2:00-3:00 pm. Check in, settle

and enjoy the remainder of the day adjusting to the new time zone. The active city of Lisbon will have

plenty of options for your free time today. Perhaps visit the Feira da Ladra, which means ‘Thief Fair,’ the

oldest market in Lisbon. Jardim do Principe Real is popular with locals; you can relax and sit in the

shade of the old cypress which is more than 100 years old. Enjoy a welcome dinner together.

Day 3 Wednesday May 6, 2020 Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your private bilingual guide and private driver in the hotel lobby this

morning for a three walking tour of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. You will visit the Jeronimos

Monastery, one of the best preserved Late Gothic monasteries in the area. Its elaborate architecture

will wow you! Entrance tickets will be provided to skip the line. You will visit the early 16th century

Belem Tower for a view of the Tagus River below. Both have been dedicated UNESCO World

Heritage Sites. Hop on a famous yellow tram to navigate around the city. There are many wonderful

viewpoints to see a panorama of the city, like Miraduoro de Nossa Senhora do Monte or the Castello

de Sao Jorge. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Do not miss tasting Pastel de Nota, a local

pastry made of a delicate crust and a delicious custard filling! You could relax in Rossio, in the heart of

Lisbon and is a bustling square with open-air cafes, grand architecture and cobbled streets. Overnight

Day 4 Thursday May 7, 2020 Lisbon, Estoril, Cascais

Breakfast at hotel. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby for a visit to the Portuguese Riviera today.

Your first stop will be Estoril (30 min). With its stylish buildings, grand villas and glitzy casino, Estoril (shtoe-

reel) once fancied itself as the Portuguese Riviera. Today, Estoril remains a less touristy option with a nice

beach and casino. Estoril was where Ian Fleming hit on the idea for Casino Royale, as he stalked Yugoslav

double-agent Dusko Popov at the casino. During WWII, the town was filled with exiles and spies.

After free time, continue to Cascais (15 min) with your driver. This amazing coastline is known as the

“Summer Playground”. There’s plenty of life in Cascais, with winding lanes leading to small museums,

beautiful gardens, a shiny marina and an old town famous for its designer boutiques and fish

restaurants. Return to Lisbon with your driver in the late afternoon. Overnight in Lisbon. B/PD/H

Day 5 Friday May 8, 2020 Lisbon, Malaga

Breakfast at hotel and check out. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby for transfer to the Lisbon

Airport. Here, board a quick morning flight to Malaga (1h 45m). B/PT/FLIGHT

SPAIN PART 2 begins: Upon arrival, meet your private driver in the arrivals hall for transfer to your hotel

in the city center. Check in and settle. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Malaga, part of the Costa del

Sol, will provide serene beaches along with rich culture and history. You may choose to try one of the

amazing bar de tapas, or to explore the new port with its small shops and handmade products.

Day 6 Saturday May 9, 2020 Malaga

Breakfast at hotel. Today is yours to relax and unwind. Set in the province of Andalucia, Malaga is one

of the oldest cities in the world as it was founded in 770 BC. The Gothic cathedral in the city center

was built on the site of a former mosque, where you can enjoy the courtyard with orange trees or

admire stunning panoramic views from the top of the tower. Stop at Mercado Atarazanas for a local

experience; the colorful and animated daily market is sure to please. One remnant of Málaga’s Islamic

past are the craggy ramparts of the Castillo de Gibralfaro, spectacularly located high on the hill

overlooking the city. Built in the 8th-century, and later rebuilt in the 14th century, the castle originally

acted as a lighthouse and military barracks. The walkway around the ramparts affords the best views

over Málaga. Weather permitting, you will board a boat or catamaran ride along the shores of

southern Spain, where you can see dolphins. A 4 hour boat tour will be a relaxing way to spend time

today! This evening we will dine together at our favorite local bodega. Overnight in Malaga.

Day 7 Sunday May 10, 2020 Malaga, Cordoba

Breakfast at hotel. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby this morning for transfer to the Malaga

train station today. Board a high speed train to Cordoba’ (1h). Upon arrival, meet your private driver

for a two hour walking tour. The main highlight of the city is the Multiarched Mezquita. One of the

world's greatest Islamic buildings, it is a symbol of the worldly and sophisticated Islamic culture that

flourished here more than a millennium ago. Córdoba was once the capital of Islamic Spain, and

Western Europe's biggest and most cultured city. Córdoba is a great place for exploring on foot or by

bicycle, staying and eating well in old buildings centered on verdant patios, diving into old wine bars

and feeling centuries of history at every turn. The narrow streets of the old Judería (Jewish quarter)

and Muslim quarter stretch out from the great mosque. The life of the modern city focuses a little

further north, around Plaza de las Tendillas, where you'll find a more boisterous vibe with some

excellent bars and restaurants. Andalucía's major river, the Guadalquivir, flows just below the

Mezquita, and the riverfront streets are home to a growing band of lively restaurants and bars making

the most of the view. Return to Malaga on the high speed train in the late afternoon. Upon arrival,

your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Malaga. Overnight in Malaga. B/PT/TRTK

Day 8 Monday May 11, 2020 Malaga, Ronda

Breakfast at hotel. Meet your private driver and your guide in the hotel lobby for transfer to Ronda (1h

30 min). This beautiful whitewashed town will be a genuine experience of Spanish culture. *Here, if

you would like, we can arrange a guided tour for two hours- let us know!* Visit the legendary Plaza

de Toros and discover the history of bullfighting. Gaze into the El Tajo River gorge, part of Andalucia’s

first natural park. You may also wish to visit the Santa Maria Church. Enjoy time at leisure and take in

the beautiful views. You will surely enjoy the beautiful view and strolling around the hilly town. This

afternoon, you will taste local wines at the Sangre de Ronda winery and experience the Spanish wine

culture. In the late afternoon, return to Malaga with your driver for time at leisure. Overnight in

Day 9 Tuesday May 12, 2020 Malaga, Barcelona

Breakfast at hotel and check out. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby for transfer to the Malaga

Airport. Here, board a quick morning flight to Barcelona (1h 45m). Upon arrival, meet your private

driver in the arrivals hall for transfer to your hotel in the city center. Check in and settle. The remainder

of the day is at your own pace. You may enjoy visiting Parque Guell, the National Museum of Art of

Catalonia or the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. You may choose to stroll through Las

Ramblas and stop at one of the fresh fruit markets there. This evening, we will prearrange a lovely

dinner at a local restaurant, where you can learn some Spanish dance moves and practice them with

the locals. You will find live music, performances and plenty of cocktails. Overnight in Barcelona.

Day 10 Wednesday May 13, 2020 Barcelona

Breakfast at hotel. This morning meet your private bilingual certified guide in the hotel lobby for a three

hour walking tour. The incredible city of Barcelona is the capital of the province of Catalonia in Spain, and

the country’s 2nd largest city. Founded as a Roman city in the middle ages, it became the capital of the

province of Barcelona. After merging with the Kingdom of Aragon, Barcelona continued to be an

important city in the Crown of Aragon. Besieged several times during its history, the city has a rich

heritage and today is an important cultural center and a major tourist destination. Particularly renowned

are the architectural works of Antoni Gaudi in the Barri Gotic (the ancient quarter of the city), which have

been dedicated as UNESCO World Heritage sites. You will also visit the city’s main cathedral, La Sagrada

Familia. Entrance tickets will be provided for your convenience. After your tour, enjoy the day at leisure.

Day 11 Thursday May 14, 2020 Barcelona, Montserrat

Breakfast at hotel. This morning meet your private driver in your hotel lobby for a day trip to

Montserrat (1 h 5 m). Thirty miles northwest of Barcelona, Montserrat (meaning serrated mountain)

gets its name from the rock formations which look like they have been sawed and sculpted, the result

of thousands of years of wind and rain. The unique rock formation is home to a Benedictine

monastery and is a famous pilgrimage spot as it is home to the 12th century wooden statue of La

Moreneta (The Black Virgin), Catalonia’s patron. Besides the religious and cultural importance of

Montserrat, the mountain boasts unbeatable views from its peaks. A cog wheel train could take you to

a lookout point where all of Catalonia and the Pyrenees can be seen. After visiting Monserrat, continue

on to a nearby winery in the early afternoon. At the winery, you will have a Spanish light lunch as well

as learn about and sample Spanish wines. Return to Barcelona in the late afternoon with your driver.

Day 12 Friday May 15, 2020 Barcelona, Tarragona

Breakfast at hotel. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby this morning for transfer to enjoy your

day in the little Catalan jewel called “Tarragona”. Thanks to its strategic position, Tarragona was

founded by the Romans to defend their commercial ports. Today you will have the chance to explore

their little special Rambla ending with “El balcon del Mediterraneo”, a huge balcony overlooking the

Mediterranean sea. You may also enjoy visiting the Roman Amphitheater or the beautiful cathedral in

the historical center. Of course, your visit to Tarragona would not be complete without a stop in Plaça

de la Font, a beautiful and central square with a great selection of many different restaurants and

cuisines. This afternoon we can arrange entrance tickets to the ancient Roman Amphitheater for you

to visit independently. Built in the 2nd century AD, the Amphitheater was very close to the forum of

that time and was the heart of Roman life. Perhaps relax on the beach front or stroll along the winding

streets of town. Tarragona is famous for the Santa Tecla festival, a ten day celebration in which

neighborhoods compete to have the tallest human towers. We will have lunch at our favorite Basque

restaurant in the center of the old town. The lively atmosphere is popular with locals and you will

enjoy some authentic cuisine here! Return to Barcelona in the late afternoon with your driver.

Day 13 Saturday May 16, 2020 Barcelona

Breakfast at hotel. Today is yours at leisure in Barcelona. Your driver will transfer you to your cooking

lesson today. We will arrange a cooking lesson for you today in Barcelona, where you will learn some

local recipes for dishes like tapas, paella and croquettes. This experience will last several hours and of

course you will get to enjoy your creations for lunch! Return to your hotel in the afternoon and enjoy

free time, while you prepare for overseas flights. Overnight in Barcelona. B/PT/CL/L/H

Day 14 Sunday May 17, 2020 Depart Barcelona

Breakfast at hotel and check out. Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby for a transfer to the

Kindly note that your final quote for the land portion of this journey does not include international

airfare, tipping, meals where not indicated and a city tax required by the European governments to be

paid upon check out of each hotel. The tax is to be paid in cash and is approximately 1.50-5.00 euro

per person per day.

Working with Italian Tours by Diana (our process) - What to expect

Step 1: Your Profile - We will gather your personal information. We need your name as it appears on your passport,

DOB, address, phone number, email address and your travel budget.

Step 2: Tell Us Your Dreams…Then we will gather your travel wishes to include activities and destinations desired.

Apply this formula - how many separate destinations and hotel changes would you like? This will establish the flow

of your itinerary.

Step 3: The Designing Process - We will design an itinerary and send it to you for review. We will edit and adjust

your itinerary up to two times. Any major revisions after that will be subject to a $75 fee.

Step 4: Receive Your Quote - Once you approve the flow of the itinerary, Diana will price it out for you, doing her

best to stay within your budget. The pricing provided will be a package price for the land portion only (per person).

Step 5: Approval and Deposit – Kindly keep in mind that the budget process is involved. Minor adjustments to the

budget will be free of charge. For more complex adjustments, a $75 service fee will be applied. Upon approval of

budget, a $1,500 deposit per person is required. This will be applied towards your final cost and will set us in motion

to secure your reservations. The deposit can be paid either with a personal check or a credit card (no service charge

applied). When all reservations are confirmed, we will send you a list of your hotels for review.

Step 6: Final Payment and Terms and Agreement Contract – Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. Kindly

keep in mind that your services are prepaid before departure. We also require that all travelers age 14 and over sign

our company terms and agreement contract. This must be signed within one week of receiving it. In order to receive

your final package, final payment as well as a signed contract must be received by Italian Tours and Travel by Diana.

Step 7: Peace of Mind – You are making an investment in your dream vacation and you should protect it. We highly

recommend that you purchase travel insurance. We have three different plans and will be more than happy to

provide a quote for you. Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing travel insurance. TO BE COVERED

FOR ANY PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS, IT IS NECESSARY TO PURCHASE INSURANCE WITHIN 15 DAYS OF ANY

MONIES BEING SPENT FOR YOUR TRAVEL, INCLUDING AIRFARE.

Step 8: Final Package – Approximately 2-3 weeks before departure, we will meet/Skype with you to review the details

of your itinerary. You will receive a final package which contains the following: your final expanded itinerary, a letter

containing detailed travel tips and Diana’s personal contact information, transportation or entrance tickets needed,

packing suggestions, tipping guidelines, language lesson, cell phone tips, etc.

Step 9: Concierge Service – While you are abroad, our 24 hour concierge service will be available to you from the

time that you depart.

Step 10: Welcome Back! - Upon your return from your trip, we kindly ask that you provide a testimonial as well as a

photo for our office wall of fame and website. We would love to hear about your special journey!
