FAN DECREASE ON/OFR Press to turn on and

decrease fan settings. It remembers the last

fan level used. The buttons allow you to cyclearound to the desired setting. (Use to set the fan

speed to LOW, MED, HIGH, BOOST or OFF.)

SENSOR FEATURE--The hood fan will

automatically turn on atthe iVlEDsetting if

cooking temperatures become too hot. The fanwill stag on for a minimum of 3 minutes and will

then turn off when temperatures cool to an

appropriate level.

• Always deactivate (turn off) the buttons whenthe hood is not in use.

• If both the LIGHT and FAN are set to OFF,the

buttons will automatically deactivate (turn off)after 10 seconds.

For yoursafety

Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switchpower off at the service panel and lock the servicepanel to prevent power from being switched onaccidentally. If the service panel cannot be locked,fasten a tag or prominent warning label to thepanel.

Metal

greasefilters

The metal filters trap grease released bg foodson the cooktop. The filters also help prevent flames(from food, grease)from damaging the inside of thehood.

For this reason, the filters must ALWAYSbe in placewhen the hood is used.The grease filters should becleaned everg 6 months, or as needed.

To remove:

Support the filter with one hand while pulling downfilter clip with the other. Pull the filter down and out.

To replace:

1. Tip the filter into the back tab slots and lift up.

2. While maintaining slight upward pressure onfilter, open clip and press into place with twohands.

To clean, swish the filter in hot soapg water andrinse in clean water or wash it in the dishwasher.Do not use abrasive cleansers.

Stainlesssteel hoodsurfaces

Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratchthe surface.

To clean the stainless steel surface, use warmsudsu water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish.Always wipe the surface in the direction of thegrain. Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaningthe stainless steel surface.

Light bulbs To change the light bulbs:

1. Grasp the outer trim ring and twist until reachingthe unlock position. Then pull the ring straight out.

2. Grasp the bulb and twist until reaching the unlockposition. Then gentlu pull the bulb straight out.

3. Replacewith the same wattage, tgpe and sizebulb. Wear gloves. Do not touch bulb with gourbare fingers.

These 120 volt, 50 watt halogen bulbs with aGUIO base are available at specialty lightingstores and home building centers.

. Replacethe outer trim ring by inserting the tworetaining tabs into the two tab slots, pressing thering flush with the surface of the hood insert andtwisting until reaching the lock position.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

The Sensor feature will automaticallg turn the fan on at theMED setting if cooking temperatures become too hot. The fanwill stag on for a minimum of 3 minutes and will then turn off whentemperatures cool to an appropriate level.

A fuse mag be blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse orreset circuit breaker.

The power disconnect switch inside the hood mag be switched off.Remove the metal grease filters and flip the switch on.

Check to be sure the metal grease filters are clean. Clean the metalgrease filters (see the Metal greose filters section). If cleaningthe filters does not correct the problem, call for service.

The motor is probablg overheating and turning itself off. This canbe harmful to the motor. Check to be sure the filters are clean. If offand on cgcling continues, call for service.

Use 120 volt, S0watt halogen bulbs with a GU10 base and make suretheg are inserted securelg. Seethe Light bulbs section.

Disconnect power to the hood bg removing the fuse or turning thecircuit breaker off in the home fuse box. Wait 30 seconds to allow thehood controls to reset and then replace the fuse or move the circuitbreaker back on.

It is normal for the light and fan buttons to cgcle around through thesettings so that gou can easilg set the controls to the desired setting.

For gour convenience, it is normal for the lights and fan to remembertheir last setting when gou press the Power On/Off button. If gouwant onlg the lights on, press the "FAN +" (or the "FAN -" ) button untilthe fan is off. When gou power the hood up next time, onlg the lightswill function.

For one year from date of original purchase, we will provide, free of charge, parts andservice labor in your home to repair or replace any part of the hood that fails becauseof a manufacturing defect.

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and any succeeding owner for productspurchased for ordinary home use in the/48 mainland states, Hawaii and Washington, D.C.If the product is located in an area where service by a GEAuthorized Servicer is not available,you may be responsible for a trip charge or you may be required to bring the product to anAuthorized GEService Location for service. In Alaska the warranty is the same except that itis LIMITEDbecause you must pay to ship the product to the service shop or for the servicetechnician's travel costs to your home.

Hotte encastrable et adaptable

Commandes NOTE : Evitez les produits alimentaires qui

produisent des flammes sous la hotte.

1. FAN DECREASE ONIOFF (Diminution de la

vitesse du ventilateur marchelarr_t). Appugez

sur ce bouton pour allumer le ventilateur etdiminuer sa vitesse. Le dernier palier de vitesse

est gard_ en m_moire. Les boutons vous

permettent de progresserjusqu'5 la vitessed_sir_e. (Utilisez-les pour r_gler la vitesse duventilateur sur LOW, MED, HIGH, BOOST ou OFF.)

2. FAN INCREASE ON/OFF (Augmentation de lavitesse du ventilateur marche/arr_t). Appugez

sur ce bouton pour allumer le ventilateur et

augmenter sa vitesse. Le dernier palier de

vitesse est gard_ en m_moire. Les boutons vouspermettent de progresserjusqu'5 la vitesse

d_sir_e. (Utilisez-les pour r_gler la vitesse duventilateur sur LOW, P1ED,HIGH, BOOST ou OFF.)

SONDE DE TEMPI_RATURE--Le ventilateur de

hotte s'allumera automatiquement au r_glageNED si la temperature de cuisson devient trop

chaude. Le ventilateur restera allum_ pendant

3 minutes au minimum, et il s'_teindra Iorsquela temperature refroidira 5 un niveau appropri_.

S° POWER ONIOFF (Mise sous tension

Avant de r_parer ou de nettoger I'appareil,mettez-lehors service_]I'aidedu tableau de commande et

verrouillez-leafin d'_viter que I'alimentation nes'enclenchement par inadvertance. Si le tableau nepeut _tre verrouill_,fixez une _tiquette ou _tiquetted'avertissement bien apparente sur le tableau.

Filtresm tolliques

Les filtres m_talliques retiennent Io graisse lib_r_epar les aliments sur la table de cuisson. Les filtresemp_chent aussi les flammes (provenant desaliments, de la graisse) d'endommager I'int_rieurde la hotte.

Pour cette raison, les filtres doivent TOUJOURS_treen place Iorsque la hotte est utilis_e. Les filtresgraisse doivent _tre nettog_s tousles 6 mois, ouau besoin.

Pour le retirer :

Tenezle filtre d'une main tout en tirant I'agrafe dufiltre vers le bas avec I'autre main. Rabattez et tirezle filtre.

Pour le remplacer :

1. Inclinez le filtre, ins_rez-le dans les fentes delanguette _ I'arri_re, puis soulevez-le.

2. Tout en maintenant une I_g&repression sur lefiltre, ouvrez I'agrafe et poussez le filtre en placeI'aide des deux mains.

Pour le nettoger, trempez le filtre dans de I'eauchaude savonneuse et rincez _ I'eaufroide ou

lavez-le dans le lave-vaisselle. N'utilisez pas denettogants abrasifs.

1. Agrippez la garniture ext_rieure et tournez-lajusqu'_ atteindre la position de d_verrouillage.Tirez ensuite sur la garniture en ligne droite.

CAUSES POSSIBLES

La sonde de temperature d_clenche automatiquement le ventilateurau r_glage HED si la temperature s'_l_ve trop. Le ventilateur resteraallum_ pendant 3 minutes au minimum, et il s'_teindra Iorsquela refroidira _ un niveau appropri_.

• II se peut qu'un fusible soit grill_ ou qu'un disjoncteur soit enclench_.Remplacez le fusible ou r_glez _ nouveau le disjoncteur.

• Le commutateur de la hotte peut _tre _teint. Retirez les filtresm_talliques _ graisse et enclenchez le commutateur.

V_rifiez les filtres m_talliques 6 graisse sont propre. Nettogez lesfiltres m_tallique _ graisse (voir le section Filtres m_tolliques _ groisse).Si malgr_ le nettogage des filtres le probl_me persiste, appelez leservice d'assistance.

Le moteur surchauffe probablement et s'_teint. Ceci risqu_d'endommager le moteur. V_rifiez que les filtres sont propre.Si le probl_me persiste, appelez le service d'assistance.

Utilisez des ampoules halog&nes de tgpe 3_20volts, 50 watts, desampoules halog_nes _ culot GU3_0et assurez-vous qu'elles ont _t_correctement introduites. Consultez la section Ampoules.

Coupez I'alimentation de la hotte en d_sactivant le disjoncteur ou enretirant le fusible de la boTte_ fusibles de votre domicile. Patientez30 secondes pour que les commandes de la hotte se r_initialisent,puis replacez le fusible et enclenchez _ nouveau le disjoncteur.

II est normal que les boutons d'_clairage ou de ventilateur progressentd'un r_glage _ I'autre afin que vous puissiez choisir ais_mentle r_glage d_sir_.

Pour votre confort, les lampes et le ventilateur se souviennent dudernier r_glage Iorsque vous appugez sur le bouton Power On/Off.Si vous souhaitez allumer uniquement les lampes, appugez surle bouton FAN+(ou sur FAN-)jusqu'_ _teindre le ventilateur. Lorsquevous rallumerez la hotte, les lampes seront les seules _ fonctionner.

Filtros de

grasa demetal

Los filtros de metal atrapan la grasa liberada porlos alimentos desde la estufa. Losfiltros tambi@nayudan a evitar que las llamas (de los alimentos,grasa) dahen la parte interna de la campana.

Por esta raz6n, los filtros deben SIEMPREestar en sulugar cuando la campana est_ en uso. Losfiltros degrasa deben limpiarse cada 6 meses,o segOnseanecesario.

Para retirar:

Sostenga el flltro con una mano mientras tira delgancho del filtro con la otra. Tire del filtro haciaabajo y quftelo.

Para reemplazar:

1. Incline el filtro dentro de las ranuras de lengOetatraseras y lev6ntelo.

2. Mientras mantiene una leve presi6n ascendentesobre el filtro, abra el gancho Ycol6quelo en sulugar con ambas manos.

Limpie el filtro en agua jabonosa caliente Yenjuague con agua limpia o 16veloen el lavavajillas.No utilice productos de limpieza abrasivos.

Bombillasde luz

Para cambiar las bombillas de la luz:

1. Tome el anillo exterior y gfrelo hasta alcanzar laposici6n de destrabado. Luego tire del anillo haciaafuera.

2. Tome la bombilla y gkela hasta alcanzar laposici6n de destrabado. Luego tire suavementede la bombilla hacia afuera.

3. Reemplace con una bombilla del mismo vataje,tipo y tamano. Utilice guantes. No toque labombilla con las manos desnudas.

Estas bombillas hal6genas de 120 voltios, 50vatios, con una base GUIO se encuentrandisponibles en tiendas especializadas deiluminaci6n y centros de construcci6n.

La caracterfstica de sensor se enciende autom(iticamente en la

configuraci6n MEDsi las temperaturas de cocci6n se elevanelevan demasiado. Elventilador permanecer6 encendido porun mfnimo de 3 minutos g luego se apagar(i cuando las temperaturasbajen a un nivel apropiado.

El fusible puede haberse quemado o el disguntor puede habersaltado. Cambie el fusible o vuelva a configurar el disguntor.

El interruptor de desconexi6n de energfa ubicado dentro de lacampana puede estar apagado. Quite el filtro de grasa de metalg accione el interruptor.

Aseg0rese de que los filtros de grasa de metal est_n limpio.Limpie los filtros de grasa de metal (ver la secci6n Filtros de grosode metal). Si la limpieza g el recambio de filtros no corrigenel problema, Ilame al servicio t@cnico.

El motor probablemente se est(i sobrecalentando g se apaga solo.Esto puede danar el motor. Aseg6rese de que el filtro est@n limpio.Si contin0a el ciclo de apagado g encendido, Ilame al servicio t@cnico.

Utilice bombillos hol6genos de 120 voltios, 50 votios, con unobase GU10 g aseg0rese de que est@nbien colocadas. Ver la secci6nBombillos de luz.

Desconecte la energfa de la campana apagando el disguntor oquitando el fusible de la caja de fusibles. Espere 30 segundos paraque los controles de la campana se reconfiguren g luego cambie elfusible o vuelva a activar el disguntor.

Es normal que los botones de luz g del ventilador le permitandesplazarse de posici6n para que usted pueda configurar f(icilmentelos controles en su configuraci6n deseada.

Para su comodidad, es normal que las luces g el ventilador"recuerden" su 01tima configuraci6n cuando presiona el bot6nPower On/Off. Si s61odesea encender las luces, presione el bot6n"FAN+" (ventilador +)(o el "FAN-")(ventilador -) para apagar el ventilador.Cuando vuelva a encender la campana, s61ofuncionardn los luces.
