Contributions To Sassoon General Hospital(Uninterrupted service since Oct. 1984 till date - as an honorary teacher)Established department of urology in Sassoon General hospital and BJ medicalcollege. Conducted two surgical workshops successfully.
Surgical workshop of stricture urethra 2002 (WZ –USI) International workshop ‘PROSURG’ (2004)- For the first time in the
country,where all surgical modalities ( TURP, BipolarTURP, HolmiumLaser ,Thulium Laser ,KTP Laser,TUNA Open Prostatectomy) weredemonstrated in this work shop.
Started renal transplant surgery in Sassoon general Hospital andcity of Pune.
First time successful sex change surgery performed in the city of Pune.
First person to introduce a surgical technique known as Indianpouch’ (treatment for cancer Bladder) in the city of Pune.
A new technique of urethral reconstruction for female patients wasinnovated. Started advanced urological laparoscopy in Sassoon hospital.
Started Laser treatment of prostate and flexible ureterorenoscopyin Sassoon general hospital.
Performed more than 2500 supra major surgical cases.(Like Radicalnephrectomy, Radical prostatectomy ,Radical cystectomy and UreteralBladder replacement etc.). Performed more than 10000 major casesincluding, urethral reconstructions, Pediatric reconstructions etc .
Started fellowship course in urology(FMAS) at Ace Hospital andResearch centre - recognized by MUHS. Validation of Herbal formulations on global scientific methods which hasbenefitted more than 2000 patients.
