6. Provided inputs into the evaluation of three surveys to be carried out in the currentpreparation phase of the IAIDS Project (surveys are in RFP stage and include wheatseed chain survey, crop production and input use survey, and input distributionnetwork survey).

7. Maintained liaison with other donor-financed projects that deal with agrochemicals,e.g. the Bank-financed Horticulture and Livestock Project (HLP), USAID-financedASAP (Accelerating Sustainable Agriculture Program) etc.

8. Assisted where necessary the consultant who will be preparing the Environment andSocial Management Framework (ESMF) starting April 15.

National Consultancy Experience

November 27 to Dec 03, 2010 Evaluation Consultant. Development of mass rearing andfield release techniques of some effective predators andparasitoids of vegetable insect pests. DANIDA fundedAgriculture Sector Programme Support (ASPS – II),Agriculture Extension Component (AEC) Department ofAgricultural Extension (DAE), Bangladesh

Undertook laboratory and field visits to three regions of Bangladesh piloting theefficacy of IPM package including bio-control agents;

Interviewed the FFS farmers, Extension workers and Extension officials for knowingthe performance of bio-control-based IPM package;

Evaluated the effectiveness of mass-rearing techniques of bio-control agents,performance of mass-reared and mass-released bio-control agents in field, identified theloopholes, drew recommendations and prepared and presented report, modified reportbased on comments.
