Work Experience

34 Years as a scaffolder starting off with Par Scaffolding Ltd. of Edinburgh Since then I have worked with various companies involved in onshore and offshore based projects. The onshore projects have included work around the UK within Module Yards, Petro-Chemical Refineries, Power Stations and the Forth rail bridge. The offshore work has included a variety of Hook-up, shut down and maintenance contracts. I have also held the position of charge hand / foreman and general foreman on some of these jobs. The broad spectrum of work I have been involved in means I have gained a vast knowledge of all types of scaffold structures including load bearing scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds and special requirement scaffolds. A number of these scaffolds have been built to individual design specifications which mean I have gained considerable experience working from drawings.I also have a lot of experience of all deck activities and taking on the role of Deck foreman for the past 4 years.
