MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My personal research interests focus on the establishment, translation and implementation of evidence-
based health programs for older adults. Primary topics of health programs include dementia caregiving,
care transitions, and self management of chronic diseases. Design and implementation methods are built on
partnerships between healthcare delivery sites, community-based organizations and community leaders. As
Director of the Center for Applied Health Research (CAHR), a joint endeavor of Scott & White
Healthcare, Texas A&M Health Science Center and the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, I
3
promote collaborative health services research across the institutions and facilitate researchers’ access to
Baylor Scott & White (Central Texas) electronic medical record data.
