CURRICULUM VITAE October 2015 Maja Povrzanović Frykman, Professor of Ethnology Maja Povrzanović Frykman is Professor of Ethnology and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Global Political Studies (GPS), Malmö University. She is teaching in Peace and Conflict Studies Programme, supervising in International Migration and Ethnic Relations Master's Programme, and acting as Research Coordinator at GPS. Since February 2015, Povrzanović Frykman is also a part time Senior Researcher at the Welfare Department at Agder Research in Kristiansand, Norway. She received her PhD in Ethnology in 1997 from the University of Zagreb and docentship in the field of International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER) from Malmö University in 2005. Since 2012, she coordinates of the IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe) research group TRANSMIG - Transnational Practices in Migration. Maja  Povrzanović  Frykman,  Professor  of  Ethnology                                                

Maja Povrzanović Frykman is Professor of Ethnology and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Global Political Studies (GPS), Malmö University. She is teaching in Peace and Conflict Studies Programme, supervising in International Migration and Ethnic Relations Master's Programme, and acting as Research Coordinator at GPS.

Since February 2015, Povrzanović Frykman is also a part time Senior Researcher at the Welfare Department at Agder Research in Kristiansand, Norway.

She received her PhD in Ethnology in 1997 from the University of Zagreb and docentship in the field of International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER) from Malmö University in 2005. Since 2012, she coordinates of the IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe) research group TRANSMIG - Transnational Practices in Migration.

Her main research interests are: labour- and refugee-migration, place, ethnicity, material culture, war-related experiences and concepts and practices in the domains of diaspora and transnationalism.

Croatian and Swedish citizen. Two maternity leaves (1989-90; 1993-94): 24 months.
