It was Steve’s only foray into making a quid from playing covers in pubs and clubs with the repertoire primarily focussed the guitar focussed music they listened throughout their youth. Double Shot covered popular music from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Doors, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Joe Satriani, David Bowie, The Easybeats, Cream, AC/DC, Gary Moore, Creedence Clearwater Revival and ZZ Top. With over 100 songs to choose from Double Shot played pretty much whatever was yelled out by punters! A highlight was performing as the alternative genre for 2 nights at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Composed, performed and recorded original music for the 1991 Theatre Ink Production A More Fortunate Life, a play was written by Ainslie Masterton, Tim McGarry and Jerzy Domaradzki. The play enjoyed extensive national touring, performances at major festivals and gained Australian TV coverage on an ABC docudrama, 60 minutes, Real Life and The Ray Martin Midday Show. 3.
