This project facilitates the delivery of patient navigation for colorectal cancer screening throughout Colorado by engaging leadership, providing training, and conducting outreach and awareness activities. Promoting Healthy Cancer Survivorship in 10/01/12-08/31/2019 Primary Healthcare Practices, (Overholser, L) $1,466,839 National Cancer Institute R25 Role: Co-Investigator (curriculum developer, lead evaluator) This collaborative project between primary care and oncology clinicians and public health is designed to improve the quality and coordination of care for cancer survivors in Colorado that can serve as a model for future efforts. The scope of the project includes development and implementation of a novel educational intervention based on experiential learning that is practice-based. Population Health in Lung Cancer Screening Pilot Project 05/01/2018-04/30/2019 National Cancer Institute Lung SPORE $50,000 Role: PI This project will work with clinics reaching the underserved in Colorado to identify barriers and facilitators to implementing new lung cancer screening guidelines, and pilot implementation in selected clinics.
