I was hired into Alfahim to set up a centralized Learning and Development unit from scratch. My key areas of focus for 2008 were building up the L&D back-office capabilities with a focus towards greater knowledge dissemination throughout the organization; creation and implementation of a Group-wide competency-based performance management culture; formal development of the supervisor and management cadre; and building the program template for the organization’s Emiratization efforts.
