TURBOCAM is a global turbomachinery development and manufacturing company that specializes in 5-axis
machining of flow path components. Applications include automotive turbochargers, micro turbines, turbojet
engines, air cycle machines, and artificial hearts.
Position held: Quality Engineer
Duties:
Review inspection reports generated in Inspection Expert software. Work with the Mechanical Engineer (ME) and
Product Development Engineer (PDE) to ensure that all required inspection items are documented.
Support Inspection and Production departments in the selection of appropriate measurement gaging and
methods use MSA as required.
Provide support for inspection staff in troubleshooting measurement issues including correlation, repeatability,
and accuracy, manage a team of 2 or more Inspectors.
Development of production part approval documentation, such as Control Plans, FMEA, Process Flows. FAI and
Piece layouts.
Participate in the Contract Review process as the Quality representative. Provide input to Sales and
Manufacturing concerning quality requirements. Ensure that all customer quality requirements can be met.
Chair and lead weekly PFU meetings.
Manage off-site calibration services with vendor.
Manage QMS and support the Quality Manager as required,

Position held: Production Quality Engineer.
Duties:
Support manufacturing assembly cells.
Investigations, analysis and problem solving, applying problem solving techniques, Lead multidisciplinary team
to design corrective and preventatives.
Monitor special process characteristics by using SPC charts.
Monitor defects & defective parts by using attribute charts.
Internal audits in accordance with TS16949 requirements.
Liaise with suppliers on any concerns that arise, raising supplier concern reports and arrangements of
any onsite assistance etc.
Liaise with customers on any concerns in plants: putting containment actions in place. Root-
cause analysis, put permanent corrective actions in place.

Duties:
My portfolio covered a varied customer base that included many of the large building companies, hospitals and s
ervice industries that required the services of a major player in the Plant hire business. My sales area was Ha
mpshire, Sussex, Dorset and Oxfordshire. I cold called as well as weekly/monthly liaison visits, I had very good re
lationships with my customers as they knew whenever possible I would try and assist them in any way 24/7.

I was responsible for a team of 4 mobile service engineers, to encourage customer service as well as expand the
company’s product base. I was heavily involved with FSL who were based in Portsmouth Dockyard, I progressed
the company profile within the MOD sector.

Position held: Production / Quality Control
Duties:
Internal sales and production control, this role entailed inbound sales enquiries and dealing with the
Shop floor manufacturing capacity.
I was responsible for raising work instructions,
Ensuring material was available through a JUST IN TIME policy to meet customer delivery dates.
I worked closely with the company directors in work loadings and working to a stringent budget in regards to mate
rial, tooling and courier services and to achieve company targets.
Made redundant due to the company downsizing and minimising products offered.
1993 – 1997 Barnes Engineering, Hilsea, Portsmouth.
Barnes engineering were a CNC machining company dealing with a wide customer range from 1 off requirements
to meeting the needs of Portsmouth Naval base.
Position held: Quality Manager
Duties:
Responsible for the implementation of ISO 9000 and managing the QMS.
Managing 2 Inspectors.
FAI reports.
Worked closely with the company directors in reduction of stock holding and material costs;
Production control was also a role I eventually controlled.
