Reliable and can execute tasks given to perfection. Self-motivated and works well as an individual or part of a team. Always strive to achieve a high standard and work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines. In the last few years I have retaken my Maths GCSE successfully achieving a C grade; this demonstrates my passion to continue my professional development and broaden my career prospects. I have recently completed TEFL Cambridge Course Level 5, as I feel this will help with any prospective vacancies. I have experience of working in the Hospitality and Purchasing sector. Within the Purchasing sector (where I was employed for five years at the Lancaster London Hotel, formally The Royal Lancaster Hotel) I was responsible for holding a one and half million pound budget. I was the main buyer of the 416 room hotel with full control of banqueting and event organisation. My negotiation skills are excellent and my working relationship with external suppliers and stakeholders outstanding. I’m confident to liaise and mediate with providers of services to the Hospitality Industry. Through this experience, I have travelled in Europe to view different hotel operations and have liaised with colleague’s regarding the success of operations, working together to develop winning strategies. Initially, employed at Northfleet Technology College as a Teaching Assistant working with Special Educational Needs students. In 2009, I took the position of Vocational Facilitator requiring me to work with challenging students, monitoring their progress in college. I thoroughly enjoyed watching these students grow, in and out of school, providing satisfaction that through support and guidance even the more academically challenged student’s achieved success. This role also entailed working with external business clients helping them integrate in society and have successful employment prospects.

I also support Careers and Guidance, Vocational Studies and Work Experience programmes working alongside outside agencies. I’ve recently been asked to be the school’s Business Links Leader and assist with setting up the school’s database of companies that will work with the students to give them a broader and more open view of how the business world works and develops.My knowledge and experience has been beneficial in all aspects of my work, my consistent promotions indicate my strong work ethic and passion for developing my professional career in the education sector and more specifically within the

I currently hold the position of Business and External visits Co-ordinator for years 12, 13 and 14 in an English secondary school. Within this role, I’m involved in ensuring that the highest standards of a learning environment are maintained for all students. I ensure that school policies and procedures, particularly relating to Health and Safety are adhered to and regularly updated to meet with the required standards. I have been a main system of support for other leaders, including organising enrichment activities such as training days, trips, external visitors and ensuring that good practice is shared amongst staff at meetings and through professional development sessions. I communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including parents, governors and colleagues, both in person or on the telephone, to resolve issues to a mutually satisfactory result. I regularly lead meetings and am able to negotiate with and inform other members of staff as to their role and responsibilities within the team. I ensure that staff and students are successful. I have control of a department budget for which I am solely responsible and am able to prioritise the purchase of resources whilst keeping an accurate record of stock and supplies available. In my role I have specialised in supporting young persons with Special Educational Needs, enabling them to meet with success in their choice of progression to a chosen career or university.
