Curriculum & Pedagogy: exploring practice possibilities

ELAA SEMINAR FOR EDUCATORS, EDUCATIONAL LEADERS AND MANAGERS

Join Catherine Hydon in a two part learning opportunity exploring curriculum and pedagogy in contemporary early childhood education.

Early childhood pedagogical practice and the process of effective curriculum decision making are worthy of deeper understanding and reflective thinking. Pedagogy and curriculum are the core drivers of quality programs yet they all too often fade into the background where assumptions dominate and practice is taken for granted. Understanding curriculum, which is becoming more sophisticated and multi-dimensional, and early childhood pedagogy is crucial for advocacy for children and their right to play.

These sessions will offer educators an opportunity to explore a deeper understanding of the fundamental tenets of our practice. Bring along your copy of the EYLF and get ready for a rich conversation to generate new ways of practice.
