CARDIOLOGY CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

In my capacity as a Cardiology CNS, I led in roles of the expert clinician, educator, consultant,

case manager, and researcher in the following clinical areas: Coronary Care Unit, Outpatient Heart

Failure Clinics, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and Cardiac Surgery Unit. I helped promote

safe, effective, and efficient clinical practice through the application of advanced knowledge and

clinical expertise in cardiology.

I led several collaboration and consultancy efforts with members of the interdisciplinary team to

identify patient care problems, to implement, and to evaluate processes in cardiology. I created

educational programs for nurses, patients/families, and group of patients in cardiology and critical

care.

I was also active in utilizing and disseminating research in cardiology through initiation of journal

clubs and evidence based weekly meetings, I conducted my own research study in Heart Failure

and made sure my findings have direct implications for practice to ensure high quality, ethically

appropriate patient care.
