6. Administrative and Teaching Experience:

Administrative Experience: The sustaining of good academic and research work as well as the growth of the department and university demands a team work approach . The statues of the universities emphasize the participatory decision making and management than the monolithic type administration. Therefore university administration lies more on the academic bodies, authorities and committees. The Vice Chancellor may have final executive authority, his decision mainly depends upon the concurrence from various bodies or committees. I have been associated in several such teams formed by the respective heads of the departments or vice chancellor or syndicate of the university time to time to assist them. The main and note worthy contributions of mine are as follows:

Coordinator, UGC – Center of Advanced Study ( April 2011 onwards and up to March 2016) with a budget of Rs. 1.50 crores for overseeing the research infrastructure set up and activities

Nodal Office, PURSE Program of DST – SPU ( Since 3rd October 2012 onwards) to administer, create and operate the central research facilities with a over all budget of Rs. 6.0 crores

Nodal Officer, Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Science and Technology (CISST) (Since 5th October 2012 onwards), to set up, run interdisciplinary studies in science faculty and also to administer and un M. Sc. In Applied Science program
