EOR IVANIĆ - MONITORING
Prior to the start of CO2 injection, initial conditions of the 43 production wells were
determined.
Continuous measurements of fluid quantities on all production wells with 3-phaze
metering separators to detect any increase in oil production (hundreds of
measurements)
Detection of CO2 concentration in associated gas on production wells resulted in
the ability to make timely decisions for interventions in production wells
Continuous fluid level measurement on all production wells
Well logging measurements (production logs) in injection and production wells for
monitoring CO2 injection profiles of the targeted reservoirs
PRODUCTION LOG MEASUREMENT
Collected data used for calibration of existing numerical model for Ivanić oilfield,
and better comprehension of the oil displacement process
The numerical model was crucial in understanding and managing unexpected
quantities of produced fluid from the production
Current Ivanić E300 model is being continuously updated to increase it’s
predictive accuracy
Major obstacle in the quality is field production using SRP’s;
When wells start to flow naturally, predictive power of the model is expected to
improve
The model has been able to predict the quick CO2 breakthrough in Iva-13
producer
An ongoing campaign to improve vertical and horizontal sweep efficiency
(production/injection profile harmonization, detailed production measurements)
MONITORING DATA VITAL FOR RESERVOIR SIMULATION AND
RELIABLE PREDICTIONS
GAMMA RESERVOIR CO2 SATURATION: OCTOBER 2014 – NOVEMBER 2016
275.00.000 m3 CO2 injected - 9% HCPV
MONITORING DATA VITAL FOR RESERVOIR SIMULATION
• Besides, updating the model with production data.
Sensitivities are being run in order to estimate
expected EOR increment;
• Expected impact is being manually shifted by using
cum CO2 injected (as %HCPV) vs. expected
increment;
• By doing so, better fit to actual pilot is being achieved
while keeping expected recovery constant.

OIL FIELD IVANIĆ – FIRST RESULTS
CONCLUSION
• Incremental oil production: 3,9 * 106 m3 / 3,4 *106 t(22.6 * 106 bbl)
• Incremental gas production: 599 * 106 m3 (21.2 * 109 cuft)
•Prolonged oil and gas production of Ivanić and Žutica mature fields (for the next 25 years)
•During the project, the total of: 3,55 *109 m3 / 6,94 *106 t (125 * 109 cuft) CO2 will be injected
•Expected re-production of: 0,8 mlrd. m3 / 1,50 mil. t (28 * 109 cuft) CO2
• CO2 retention in the reservoir: 2,78 billion m3 / 5,44 million t(97 * 109 cuft)
