• The 43rd St extension is a new two lane roadway connecting 118th Ave. to 40th St. It is being built in preparation of the Gateway project.

• The contractor has completed construction of several ponds and is now working on the new roadway.

• Pepper Contracting Services began the $5.3 million project in August 2014 and is scheduled to be finished by the end of this year.

• The $23.5 million project will widen Ulmerton Road from four to six lanes. When complete, SR 688 (Ulmerton/Walsingham Road) will be a six lane roadway from the Indian Rocks Bridge to 49th St.

• Currently the contractor is building new medians and travel lanes while continuing to build new and relocate existing utilities along the corridor.

• Conalvias USA began construction in January 2012 and is anticipated to be complete in the spring of next year.

• The $19.3 million project will widen Ulmerton from four to six lanes and remove the western Roosevelt flyover and replace it with a signalized intersection in preparation of the Gateway Project.

• The contractor is currently installing new drainage to accommodate the new wider roadway.

• David Nelson Construction Co. began work this past February and is anticipated to be complete in the fall of 2017.

• There is a bonus for the contractor on this project, that if achieved will result in a January 2017 completion.

• The $21.3 million project widens Ulmerton Road from four to six lanes, replaced the eastern Roosevelt flyover and created a new westbound access lane to 34th St.

• The contractor is paving the top layer of asphalt and applying permanent striping. Highway lighting and signalization work is finishing up as well.

• The Lane Construction Corp. began construction in April 2013 and is anticipated to be complete at the end of this year, several months ahead of schedule.

• The project consists of removing the traffic signals on US 19 between Whitney Road and SR 60, constructing two new interchanges at Seville Boulevard and Belleair Road and rebuilding the SR 60 interchange.

• Remaining work includes painting the bridge beams, installing highway lighting and ITS components, paving the top layer of asphalt and applying the final striping.

• Hubbard Construction Company began the $119 million project in November 2009 and is anticipated to be complete this fall.

• The project includes building an elevated Gandy Blvd with frontage roads and interchanges at 94th Ave., 9th St. and 4th St.

• Bridge construction over 94th Ave., 9th St. and 4th St. is currently underway and the project team, Condotte/DeMoya anticipates opening the elevated section to traffic in the Summer of 2016.

• The $83.6 million design build project began in January 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in early 2017.
