●  The Padmanabhaswamy temple is a Hindu temple located in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala, India. The name of the city of Thiruvananthapuram in Malayalam translates to "The City of Lord Ananta",referring to the deity of the Padmanabhaswamy temple. The temple is built in an intricate fusion of the Chera style and the Dravidian style of architecture, featuring high walls, and a 16th-century gopura.

●  While the Ananthapura temple in Kumbla is considered the original seat of the deity ("Moolasthanam"), architecturally to some extent, the temple is a replica of the Adikesava Perumal temple in Thiruvattar

●  This revelation has solidified the status of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple as the wealthiest place of worship in the world.

●  It is conservatively estimated that the value of the monumental items is close to ₹1.2 lakh crore or ₹1.2 trillion (US$17 billion). If the antique and cultural value were taken into account these assets could be worth ten times the current market price

●  The temple was originally built in 6th century A.D., and later beautified further by the Kings of Travancore after 10 centuries. The royal family of Travancore is believed to be descendants of the adored saint Kulashekhara Alwar. The temple was built almost exactly like the famous Sri Adikesavaperumal Temple at Thiruvattar.

●  When the committee began its work, six huge secret Kallaras or vaults were discovered in the temple which were named A, B, C, D, E and F. The doors were iron-made and the scope to open them was dim.

●  The seizure of 30 kilogram of smuggled gold from a diplomatic cargo addressed to the UAE Consulate-General Office in Thiruvananthapuram last Sunday has emerged as a major controversy in Kerala, where smuggling of the yellow metal from the Middle East is a routine affair.

●  But what makes this seizure, worth Rs 15 crore, cling on to the headlines is that the gold was found in diplomatic cargo, which enjoys immunity from routine Customs examination. The players behind the racket and their alleged links with senior government officials have also added to the interest around the episode.

●  On Tuesday, M Sivasankar was removed as the principal secretary to Kerala Chief Minister, after the senior IAS official was found in the close network of an alleged key player of the smuggling racket, Swapna Suresh, who had earlier worked as executive secretary at the UAE Consulate-General’s office.

●  Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) comes second with a market capitalisation of Rs 7,70,796 crore.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launches CAPFs nationwide tree plantation drive

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने सीएपीएफ का देशव्यापी वृक्षारोपण अभियान लॉन्च किया -  TOI

●  Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Central Armed Police Forces-CAPFs nationwide tree plantation drive.

●  Under this drive, saplings were planted by the jawans of Central Armed Police Forces in Chhattisgarh.

●  The personnel of BSF, CRPF, ITBP and CISF - deployed in Chhattisgarh for Anti-Naxal operations, planted saplings in their respective campuses as well as in their places of deployment.

●  All the CAPFs will undertake a drive in their respective organisations to achieve the collective target of planting more than 1.35 crore saplings by this month.

•  केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बल-सीएपीएफ की देशव्यापी वृक्षारोपण अभियान की शुरुआत की।

•  इस अभियान क ेतहत छत्तीसगढ़ में केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों के जवानों द्वारा पौधे लगाए गए थे।

•  नक्सल विरोधी अभियानों के लिए छत्तीसगढ़ में तैनात बीएसएफ, सीआरपीएफ, आईटीबीपी और सीआईएसएफ क ेकर्मियों ने अपने-अपने परिसरो ंमें और साथ ही तैनाती के स्थानों पर पौधे लगाए।

US remains India's top trading partner in 2019-20 अमेरिका 2019-20 मे ंभारत का शीर्ष व्यापारिक भागीदार बना हुआ है

●  The US remained India's top trading partner for the second consecutive fiscal in 2019-20, which shows increasing economic ties between the two countries.

●  According to the data of the commerce ministry, in 2019-20, the bilateral trade between the US and India stood at USD 88.75 billion as against USD 87.96 billion in 2018-19.

●  In 2018-19, the US first surpassed China to become India's top trading partner.

●  The bilateral trade between India and China has dipped to USD 81.87 billion in 2019-20 from USD 87.08 billion in 2018-19.

●  The data also showed that China was India's top trading partner since 2013-14 till 2017-18. Before China, UAE was the country's largest trading nation.

•  2019-20 में अमेरिका लगातार दूसरे वित्तीय वर्ष में भारत का शीर्ष व्यापारिक भागीदार बना रहा, जो दोनों देशों के बीच आर्थिक संबंधों को बढ़ाता है।

Phhulchhab as a cartoonist. ●  He was a drawing teacher at Kendriya

Rare Comet Neowise to be visible in India for 20 days भारत मे ंरेयर कॉमेट नॉयस 20 दिनो ंतक दिखाई देगा

●  A newly discovered comet C/2020 F3, also known as Neowise, which has been spotted from several parts of the world, will now be visible in India.

●  It will make its closest approach to the Earth at a distance of 64 million miles or 103 million kilometres while crossing Earth’s outside orbit on 22nd July 2020.

●  It is also known as NEOWISE after the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) telescope that discovered it.

●  On 3rd July, it was closest to the sun at 43 million km due to which its outer layer was released, creating an atmosphere (referred to as coma) of gas and dust from its icy surface.

●  It will be visible through binoculars or a small telescope.

•  एक नई खोज की गई धूमकेतु C / 2020 F3, जिसे Neowise के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, जिसे दुनिया के कई हिस्सों से देखा गया ह,ै अब भारत में दिखाई देगा।

•  यह 22 जुलाई 2020 को पृथ्वी की बाहरी कक्षा को पार करते हुए 64 मिलियन मील या 103 मिलियन किलोमीटर की दूरी पर पृथ्वी के सबस ेकरीब पहुंच जाएगा।

•  इसे नेशनल एरोनॉटिक्स एंड स्पेस एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (NASA) टेलीस्कोप के बाद NEOWISE के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

•  Comets or ‘dirty snowballs’ are mostly made of dust, rocks and ice and can range in their width from a few miles to tens of miles wide.

•  Comets do not have the light of their own and the visibility depends on its gas and dust outbursts.

•  Humans see the reflection of the sun’s light off the comet as well as the energy released by the gas molecules after it is absorbed from the sun.

•  To be visible, a comet must make a particularly close approach to the sun to produce enormous quantities of gas and dust or it should make a relatively close approach to the Earth so that it is easily viewed.

In a first, India sends a parcel train to Bangladesh भारत बांग्लादेश को एक पार्सल ट्रेन भेजता है

●  In a first ever cross-border movement for Indian Railways, a special parcel train was sent to Benapole, Bangladesh carrying dry chillies from Reddipalem in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

●  The Special Parcel Express train carried 384 tonnes of dried chillies in 16 parcel vans.

●  The cost per tonne for carrying by special train was Rs 4,608 per tonne and which was far more economical when compared with road transport, typically amounting to Rs 7,000 per tonne.

●  The amount used to be paid by farmers and merchants in and around Guntur area for transporting it by road to Bangladesh in small quantities.

●  The supplies got hit during the lockdown period.

•  भारतीय रेलवे क ेलिए पहली बार क्रॉस-बॉर्डर ट्रांसपोर्ट में, एक विशेष पार्सल ट्रेन को बेनापोल, बांग्लादेश भेजा गया था, जो आंध्र प्रदेश के गुंटूर जिले के रेड्डीपालम से सूखी मिर्च ले जाती है।

•  स्पेशल पार्सल एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन ने 16 पार्सल वैन में 384 टन सूखी मिर्च पहुँचाई।
