    1. Vijay Kumar is a shooter from Himachal Pradesh. He won the silver

    medal in the 25 metre rapid fire pistol event at the 2012 Summer

    Olympics in London.

    3. England Captain Steven Gerrard retired from international football after

    making 114 appearances for his country. Gerrard frails only Peter Shilton

    (125) and David Beckham (115) on England’s all – time caps list.

    4. Nico Rosberg is a German racing driver for the Mercedes Formula one

    team.

    5. Gandhi Peace Prize was launched by t he Government of India on theoccasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 1995. The

    first recipient was Julius Nyerere, the former president of Tanzania.

    2013 winner is Chandi preased Bhatt, environmentalist and Gandhian. He

    is the pioneer of Chipko movement.

    7. The 127th  edition of the Durand Cup football  tournament is to be

    first president of the bank will be from India. A $ 100 billion Contingent

    Reserve Arrangement (CRA) was also created.
