FROM THE PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Committee, welcome to the 2012 Winter season!

The 2012 season started off on a wonderful autumn day with the annual

march past and gala day with our junior members getting their first taste

of netball for 2012. It is great to see all our members both new and old

enjoying their netball. I would like to remind all spectators not to stand

along the sidelines as this does interfere with the umpires. Please only

stand or sit at the baselines of the courts.

Fundraising was kicked off with a pre-season BBQ at Bunnings Narellan,

thank you to the Committee for their time and effort. We have also held

the Taste Testing evening which was a great success!! along with The Real

Hot Chocolate fundraiser and the Shoot-A-Hoop fundraiser in which we are

still waiting on the return of outstanding money and chocolates in order to

have a final tally.

CHNC’s Major fundraiser will be the inaugural Trivia Night to be held on

21st July at Currans Hill Public School. This night will be for 18 years

of age and over so please start organising your friends/family for an ex-

ceptional night.

I wish to remind all members that all the fundraising that is held through-

out the year goes straight back to all the members in the way of presenta-

tion days, trophies etc., as well as providing our members with equipment

to enable them to train and play netball to the best of their ability. There

is a lot of time and effort by CHNC’s committee in organising these fund-

raising activities and I would like to see the full support of these activities

by all our members. Finally, CHNC holds a committee meeting once per

month and you are most welcome to come along at anytime. Details of all

UMPIRING Following on from the Umpiring/Coaching days held in March, CHNC now has a

further 6 umpires...well done Chloe, Lauren, Katelyn, Ashleigh, Holly & Allie...please support and encourage all our umpires. Please respect all our umpires, you will not agree with every call made but the umpires are out their giving their best!!!! As of Round 7 all umpire allocations will be on the website.
