ARTS AWARD TRAINING

To become an Arts Award adviser and support children and young people through Arts Award you need to successfully complete a training course. Our training courses are offered throughout the year in various locations. You can also book any of our courses to be delivered in-house within your organisation, which is more cost-effective if you are training more than six people. Artsmark training is designed for schools and education settings intending to apply for Artsmark. There are numerous dates for training across the North West. Introducing . . . Entrepreneurships

29 September, 1pm - 3pm, Oldham Library ‘Entrepreneurships’ are a developing strand of the Creative Employment Programme designed to support young people wanting to set up their own business or be a freelancer in the arts sector. Working in partnership with PANDA (www.panda-arts.org.uk) we have created an exciting new proposal to develop these opportunities for young people in the North West by working closely with the region’s libraries. Curious about working with schools? ... bespoke surgeries available.We are now offering a tailor-made surgery session for you and your colleagues. The surgery will give you focussed time to learn more about the latest changes in education, to consider school priorities and needs and to make a plan of action about how to develop your offer to schools.We are using bridge investment to subsidise these and so are able to offer them for just £50 - £75 for a half day session at your venue. Culture Hubs www.culturehubs.co.uk is the one-stop online shop for cultural education in North West England, making it easier for staff in schools to connect with arts, cultural and heritage organisations. Over 400 schools, arts and cultural organisations are already members of Culture Hubs, it’s free to join (www.culturehubs.co.uk/arts/register/) and will:
