The open cast mining of the lignite deposits raise many technical and economic concerns and some of them are particularly significant.The present paper describes the construction time stability and management systems of the waste dumps built upwith the time and accumulating tens and hudnreds of millions tons of cubic metres of materials.

By coal burning in coal power plants result a lot of gases that leads to a chemical pollution of environment.The gases resulted in coal burning have a complex impact over the atmosphere, soil and water.Atmosphere pollution with SO2 is very harmful to flora and fauna.Considering that in coal burning result chemical substances that are very harmful to flora and fauna, a purification of coal before burning is asserted, especially by reduction of sulphur content.The purpose of this paper is to bring in front a coal desulphurization process based on dealkalization with the help of Na2CO3 diluted solution in presence of oxygen under pressure.

The paper presents the parameters, which influence the generation, and the transmission way in case of vibrations from explosive blasting used in rocks fragmentation. The interest is focused also on undesired vibration effect through adjacent areas, as well as how to make a proper design for drilling and blasting patterns in respect of the rule of separate explosive charges, so to predict vibration amplitude. In order to make this work, the research point out a useful ratio for blasting pattern design.
