It is another big week for our school as we see our

Senior Choir and Triple C perform at the Manning Mu-

sic Spectacular matinee on Thursday. This is an out-

standing concert where the schools in the Manning

are showcased to help raise money for the Australian

Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) which supports

a number of schools in town with whole school music

programs. This program allows children to access mu-

sic where they may normally not be able to. Famous

children’s performer Don Spencer is the patron and

founder of the group and many celebrities from TV

stage and screen will be on hand to help out. For our

concert, George Houvardas, from “Packed to the Raft-

ers” will be the special guest after being so impressed

with the performers last year! More info is available

Our 2017 Kinders are having a great time at our orien-

tation today! I’m not sure who was being more atten-

tive when giving out the name badges – the parents

or children, but all looked excited for our 2nd session.

The group looks eager and keen to become a part of

our community in 2017.

This Friday we will be taking part in the “Day for Dan-

iel”. This is a National Day of Action to raise aware-

ness about child safety and protection. Children are

asked to wear red clothing and they will be participat-

ing in lessons and activities that have been designed

to explore and discuss safety issues in a familiar and

caring place. This is the first time we have participated

and we are looking forward to seeing a sea of red!
