From your President

Our 2014 Season is off to a great start with the energetic High School performance of “All Shook Up” (which left us rocking and rolling), this years Celebration of the Arts and the wonderful comedy June Groom. And, we have many exciting events coming including a concert featuring Cumberland’s Higher Vision Quartet, a performance by Roger Harrison and the musical Spitfire Grill.

Our Annual Meeting this year it will be at the Fine Arts Center and Theater on Sunday, July 13 at 5 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. We will look at what we’ve done, what we hope to do, elect a new board, and enjoy refreshments and social time.

One very exciting part of our “hope to do” list is to make our building more user friendly for those with disabilities. With this in mind, we have started exploring several projects. The first of which would be to re-do the entry ramp so that everyone can use the larger main entry door. This would free up space inside the entry area for the second project -- a large handicapped accessible restroom. The final part of the project would be to improve the existing restroom facilities. We have been getting estimates and may soon be planning special fundraisers to make our facility one that can be comfortably enjoyed by everyone.

I hope to see you soon!Lori Bock, ETC President
