2ND ANNUAL SHRIEK WEEK KIDS FILM FESTIVALThis unique film festival features young filmmakers ages 6-17 that have been selected to screen their scary film. 7TH ANNUAL JURIED ART SHOW, “BALMY BREEZES”SUGAR SAND PARK COMMUNITY CENTERThis showcase features art in a variety of mediums from local artists. Sugar Sand Park Community Center supports and encourages the novice to the professional artist by holding this annual exhibition. Exhibit will be on display August 2-September 30.

STACEY MCDONALD WONDERLANDWOODSStacey McDonald’s paintings, photography, and mixed media pieces are inspired by a love of nature. Each piece begins with her imagination, love of nature, and a little wonder as well. See what lies beyond Wonderland till you reach Wonderlandwoods.

ADRIANE PIRROAdriane Pirro is an artist, illustrator and writer who creates art to bring joy to all viewers. Whether it’s an alligator couple dancing in the moonlight, two people joined in a passionate tango, or the bright tropical colors of an Art Deco design, happiness is the key. In addition to creating art and writing, she teaches drawing and painting classes to children and swimming to babies and young children.

Exhibit will be on display October 2-November 4. Opening reception Wednesday, October 2 at 6:00 PM.

MEMBERS 29TH ANNUAL JURIED SHOWCASEPALM BEACH WATERCOLOR SOCIETYThis exhibition presents the collective work of member artists. The public is invited to attend ex-hibitions throughout the year and participate in the PBWS outstanding workshops. This season pres-ents workshops with prominent artists Pat Dews, Jeannie McGuire, and Mel Stabin. All artists are welcome to join the organization. Exhibit will be on display November 7-December 2. MARY UNTERBRINK Mary’s paintings reflect her interest in travel, culture, and flora and fauna of Florida. Each painting is a fascinating journey, as various possibilities are explored through a medley of colors, shapes, and textures, until the creative process has runits course and the painting is complete.

RICHARD LADISKYRichard Ladisky travels the world underwater, always looking for the most dangerous, the most unique, or an undiscovered species. It all began in 1981 with a certification in scuba diving and shortly after, he decided to join his passion for photography with his love of diving.

SPIN is an exciting exhibit that explores the fun – and science – of objects that rotate. Using interactive exhibits and real-life examples, visitors can explore how objects spin, why things spin at different speeds and how we use spinning objects in our daily lives.
