Fall 4-H Foundation Fundraiser: Sweet!
Cameron Parish 4-H is having a sweet potato sale again this year. This sale begins October 1 and will continue through November 6th . Those of you who would like to help sell tickets can pick them up at the 4-H Office, or call the office at 337-905-1318, and we will mail you a book of tickets. They will also be available at October Club meetings. Remember if you take a book to turn it back into us, whether you have sold all the tickets or not. We want to make sure we don’t miss anyone’s order. Please contact the 4-H office with any questions!

The weather held out and we had a great turnout at the Cameron Parish Beach Sweep at Rutherford Beach!
71 participants showed up to help clean up the beach. We had a great turnout and are looking forward to
next year!

Any adult interested in volunteering with 4-H contests/
activities – give the 4-H Office a call and we will add your name
Horse Enthusiasts!!! The Cal Cam Horse Club will kick off the year on Tuesday October 11th at the Burton Coliseum Outdoor Arena with an overview and registration meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. Demonstrations will be presented by veteran members on safety and what you can learn in the Horse Club. We ask that you do NOT bring your horses to the first arena meeting. The office meeting will be held on Tuesday October 25th at 6:00 p.m. Registration packets will be given out at the meeting with instructions. Hope to see you there!
Shooters!!
Our first practice will be held on Sunday October 9th at the Front Ridge Shooting Range. This will be a shotgun ONLY practice. Air Rifle and Archery practice will be held on Friday October 14th at 4:30 at the 4-H office in Grand Lake. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Bradley. We are trying different things with the Shooting Sports program this year and would like to know what we can do differently.
