Be aware that you may not make a requirement for your students to use the Internet at home for an assignment.

All students do not have access to the Internet at home, therefore the assignment could not be completed.

How do I use the computer lab with students?

Who is in charge of the lab(s)at your site? Media Specialist (elementary) Lab Manager SST Technology/Computer Teacher Scheduling and availability will vary at each site

Familiarize yourself with the programs and saving files in the lab prior to taking your students. It’s different than at home!

We suggest you add a # that changes when you change your password.

Can’t re-use a password for 36 times. Don’t post your password anywhere!!!

Select a password that is easy for you to remember but not easy for your students to guess

Why? Why not “My Documents”? Deep Freeze Daily backup Access from any site Students save into the student folder/or

their folder for secondary students SST should set up your user folder as the

default location for MS Office files 1 GB –file space and 1 GB in email

Share the process for manually archiving email.

Folder must be created.

User must intentionally select the file to be archived or it will be deleted automatically (time frame set by IS).
