The IAS Compact Unified Baseband Equipment (IAS CUBE) is a small, lightweight, semi-rugged, completely self-contained portable secure communications solution. The IAS CUBE contains a WAN technology diverse enterprise class IAS Router PICO, a robust Virtual Machine Server featuring a 6th generation 4 core/8 thread i7 Intel processor, and a 4 drive SATA storage array. The IAS CUBE packs all of this capability into an unprecedented 6.5”x 6.5” x 6.5” cube form factor, that weighs under 12.5 pounds.

IAS CUBE, by way of its integral IAS Router PICO, can “reach back” using 3G/4G cellular, Wi-Fi as a client, Gigabit Ethernet, and even support use of legacy serial modems. The IAS CUBE runs off of 9~36 VDC, and even contains built in UPS logic in support of a user supplied external battery pack that can be sized to the use individual users application. This ensures the IAS CUBE comes online, and stays online, even in the event of a power loss. Whereas other companies package their communications gear into expensive custom roller board cases, the IAS CUBE is so small it fits within commercial off the shelf cases with room to spare. The IAS CUBE was specifically designed to fit between the internal wheels of a Pelican 1510 case, leaving room for the users potential ancillary equipment (radios, VoIP phones, cameras, computers, cables, etc.)

The IAS CUBE was designed from the ground up with the NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) use case in mind, where the IAS Router PICO would perform the Grey (outer) VPN Gateway role, and any number of software based VPN solutions running on the virtual machine server would perform the Red (inner) VPN role, and additional Red LAN virtual machines can be installed in support of red network services. This may include file servers, domain controllers, and other application specific VMs.
