All of our resources have beendesigned and developed usingeducational techniques that allow children to:-

• be educated using facts and information, rather than just being told to do or not to do something that may have the opposite reaction;

• explore their own attitudes and values towards those facts;

• resist peer pressure, become more assertive and base their decisions on personal knowledge and understanding;

• use the resources in the classroom or at home with a trusted adult, educating the child, family and peers;

• learn messages promoted by the Emergency Services, teachers, parents or government;

• focus on key elements of Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship education.

Eachresource:-• has been developed with

the help and assistance of the Emergency Services, teachers and child protection personnel;

• has been tested in the classroom with children in the targeted age groups before being published;
