Information Technology (IT) fluency including proficiency with certain computer applications (traditional computer literacy), principles on which you can build new understanding as IT evolves, high-level reasoning and IT problems solving, and basic web programming (HTML and JavaScript). Alice is a freeware object-based programming educational programming language with an integrated development environment (IDE). Alice uses a drag and drop environment to create computer animations using 3D models. The software was developed first at University of Virginia, then Carnegie Mellon (from 1997), by a research group led by the late Randy Pausch.

One of the most common uses of a spreadsheet is to chart financial information. We created an annual budget for ourselves, so we can monitor out spending money we have each month. We were encouraged to use real information.

Computation Thinking is thinking at multiple levels of abstraction. It is for solving problems, designing systems, and understanding the power and limits of human and machine intelligence. It also means that one is able to go above and beyong what you think and create something totally new and different.

Microsoft Word is a word processing program that allows users to create professional documents such as resumes, letters, fax cover sheets, reports, legal documents, brochures, manuals and more. It is an efficient tool for students, business owners and even working individuals to have on their computers.
