Turbocharged air-to-air aftercooling. It providesimproved fuel economy by packing cooler, denser air into cylinders for more completecombustion of fuel and lower emissions.

Electronic Control Module. The Electronic ControlModule (ECM) provides improved emissions andoptimal performance through electronic timing andfuel delivery along with advanced troubleshootingand diagnostic capabilities using ElectronicTechnician (ET).

Vibratory SystemThe pod-style vibratory system, delivers superior compactive force while offeringserviceability advantages.

Pod-style weight housings. They are assembled and sealed at the factory to ensure cleanliness, longerbearing life and easier field exchange or service.

Dual amplitude. Dual amplitude works efficiently ina wider range of applications. High or low amplitudeis selected from the operator’s station.

Vibratory frequency. Vibratory frequency of 31.9 Hz for high compaction results. Optional variablefrequency control available with a frequency rangefrom 23.3-31.9 Hz allows frequency to be bettermatched to varying job conditions.

Operator’s StationErgonomically designed for maximum operator productivity while offering excellentvisibility and unmatched comfort.

Seat. The comfortable and durable seat has adjustablefore/aft position, bottom cushion height, suspension stiff-ness and flip-up arm rests with a 76 mm wide retractableseat belt.

Operator’s station. The isolated operator’s station withfour heavy-duty rubber mounts limits machine vibrationtransmitted to the operator’s station.

Floor mat. Rubber floor mat provides sure footing andhelps further isolate the operator from machine vibrationand noise.

Operational gauges. Steering console and instrumentationgauges are infinitely adjustable within the tilt range to the desired position of the operator. Entire console tilts for simple entrance and exit.

Instrument panel. Machine gauges are located on theadjustable front steering column for easy reference duringmachine operation. The instrument panel contains the fuelgauge, vibrations per minute (VPM) meter (optional) and a nine-light LED fault indication panel.

Indication panel. Fault indication panel is a three-levelwarning system to alert the operator to abnormal machineconditions with a visual warning and action alarm.

Single lever control. The single lever control for propel and vibratory On/Off provides simple and low effort operation. A padded adjustable wrist restprovides comfort.

ROPS/FOPS CabOptional cab can increase machine utilization in extreme environment conditions and the ergonomic design emphasizes comfort, visibility and easy operation.

Cab. The cab is a spacious and comfortable workenvironment that includes large windows, more interiorroom with storage areas, better ergonomics and a dramatic reduction in interior sound levels.

Windshield. Full-length glass windshield providesexceptional visibility to the drum and optional leveling blade.

Mirrors. Two exterior rear view mirrors, front and rearworking lights included with cab.

Wipers. Windshield wipers on front and rear windowsallow clear vision in adverse conditions.

Windows. Slide-open side windows for cross ventilation.

Climate control. The climate control with standard heaterand defroster for maximum operator comfort. Optional airconditioning helps keep the cab cool and comfortable.

One-Piece Sloped Hood DesignThe one-piece sloped fiberglass hood design provides excellent service access andexceptional operator visibility.

Visibility. The visibility to the tire edges and rear ofmachine is exceptional. The sloped hood allows theoperator to see obstacles measuring 1 meter high located1 meter to the rear of the machine. Excellent visibilityincreases productivity when working near obstructions or maneuvering around the job site.

Lockable engine hood. The one-piece lockable enginehood opens quickly and easily with the use of gas struts toprovide unrestricted access to the engine, cooling systemand all service points.

Sound levels. Low sound levels for the operator and theground crew due to the one-piece engine hood and revisedcooling air flow through the rear mounted radiator.

Padfoot Drum and ScrapersPadfoot drums provide superior performance when compacting clays. Heavy-duty scrapersbreak materials away from the drum surface to allow for deep penetration of the padfeet.

Padfoot drum. The padfoot drum has 140 pads welded onthe drum in a chevron arrangement.

Pad measurement. Each pad is 127 mm high and has apad face surface area of 89.4 cm2 to achieve high groundcontact pressure for maximum compaction.

Clean themselves. The pads are involuted to walk out of the lift without fluffing or “kicking up” the soil aroundthe pads. Pads are tapered to help clean themselves.

Heavy-duty scrapers. The heavy-duty scrapers mountedon the front and rear of the drum are individuallyadjustable and replaceable. Helps to reduce excessivematerial build up between the pads.

Gradeability and Machine ControlThe exclusive dual pump propel system, proven reliable on 500D-Series Soil Compactors,provides superior performance, machine control and exceptional grade climbing capability.

Propel pump system. The two propel pump system hasdedicated pumps to drive the heavy-duty, high-torque rear wheel and drum motors independently. Should thedrum or wheels begin to spin, there is always hydraulicflow to the non-spinning motor, allowing continuoustractive effort.

Controllability. Controllability is another feature of dualpropel pumps. The operator has complete machine controlto stop, maintain machine position and change directionswhile on a slope. This feature is especially useful on steepslopes and loose underfoot conditions.

Pressure valve. The pressure override (POR) valve limitsmaximum system pressure by de-stroking the propelpumps. This reduces pump flow while maintaining system pressure. This lowers the horsepower draw while accelerating the machine which saves fuel.

Padfoot Shell KitOptional padfoot shell kit expands the application range of the CS563E to work in eithercohesive or semi-cohesive material.

Versatility and utilization. Expands machine versatilityand utilization while providing a simple and cost-effectivesolution for jobs that may require both padfoot andsmooth drum compaction.

Bumper. The bumper provides adjustable scraper teeth.The bumper can also accept the optional leveling bladewhich increases machine versatility even further.

Padfoot shell halves. Padfoot shell halves can be quicklyand easily installed or removed in about an hour with theuse of an approved lifting device.

Leveling BladeOptional leveling blade increases machine versatility and utilization, plus greatly enhances productivity.

Machine versatility and utilization. Expands machineversatility and utilization for use in material knockdown,site leveling, trench backfilling and light dozingapplications.

Blade control. Blade position is controlled by operator’s right foot, leaving the operator’s hands free tocontrol machine propel and steering.

Two variable displacement pistonpumps supply pressurized flow to twodual displacement piston motors. Frame

Fabricated from heavy gauge steel plateand rolled sections and joined to the drum yoke at the articulation pivot.Articulation area is structurallyreinforced and joined by hardened steel pins. One vertical pin provides asteering angle of ± 34° and a horizontalpin allows frame oscillation of ± 15°.Safety lock prevents machinearticulation when placed in the lockedposition. Roll Over Protective Structure/Falling Object Protective Structure(ROPS/FOPS) canopy is a two-poststructure that bolts directly onto flangeswelded to the operator platform.Includes two front-facing and two rear-facing working lights, handrails and arear view mirror. The structure meetsISO 3449-1992 and ISO 3471-1994.

ROPS/FOPS Cab includes a clothsuspension seat, one access door, tintedsafety glass windows, electric wipersfront and rear, heater/defroster, twovertically sliding side windows forventilation, two exterior rear viewmirrors, two front-facing and two rear-facing working lights, interior domelight, coat hook. Cab can be orderedwith or without air conditioning. Cab is fully EROPS rated and meetsISO 3449-1992 and ISO 3471-1994.

Sun Visor for the front windshield canbe installed on machines equipped witha ROPS/FOPS cab.

Roll-Down Sun Screen for the rearwindow can be installed on machinesequipped with a ROPS/FOPS cab.

Rear View Mirrors are available forinternal use on machines equipped witha ROPS/FOPS cab or external use onmachines equipped with a ROPS/FOPScanopy.

Transmission Guard consists of a heavyplate which covers the rear axle, axledrive motor and input gearbox.

Cab Lift Cylinder is available andprovides a hydraulic cylinder to raiseand lower the operator's platform or cab.

Vibration Auto On/Off. Vibration systemswitches on/off automatically.

Variable Frequency is an electronicdisplacement control on the vibratorypump that is operated by a dial on theoperator’s station. Engine rpm remainsconstant. Frequency range from 23.3-31.9 Hz makes it easier to matchfrequency, amplitude and working speedto job conditions. Includes the vibratorygauge.

Vibratory Gauge is mounted on theconsole in front of the operator anddisplays the actual vibratory systemfrequency. (Standard with the variablefrequency option.)

Rotating Beacon includes an amberbeacon and mount that can be attachedto machines with ROPS/FOPS canopyor ROPS/FOPS cab.

Polyurethane Drum Scrapers for the CS563E provide a front and rear scraperfor continuous contact with the drumsurface and replaces the standard steelfront scraper.

Two-piece Padfoot Shell Kit bolts ontothe smooth drum CS563E and features90 mm high pads. Includes specialbumper.

Smooth Drum Rear Steel Scrapermounted at the rear of the drum.

Padded Drum Rear Scrapers help keepmaterial from building up on the drum.

Speedometer

Recording Module provides a visualgauge for reading worktime, machinespeed, distance covered and amplitudeselection.

Compaction Indicator CI 010 includesLED panel indicating compaction levelwith integrated LCD screen displayingtravel speed and compaction metervalue. Also Includes hand-held printer.

Compactiometer ALFA 022R includescompaction meter value dial, frequencymeter dial and resonance meter valuedial.

Leveling Blade for the CS563E and CP563E is designed to bolt onto thedrum yoke. Complete unit includesheavy-duty blade, push arms,reversible/replaceable cutting edges,replaceable wear plates, a heavy-dutyhydraulic lift cylinder and control valve.Moldboard is constructed of heavy-dutysteel. Blade measures 2500 mm wideand 680 mm high. Maximum depth ofcut is 76 mm.

Padded Drum Conversion Kit(CS563E only) is interchangeable with the smooth drum. Two options areavailable. First option includes all drumcomponents including hydraulic motor,brackets, gear and support boxes, shell,mounts, brackets and pods, front bumperand scrapers. Second option includesminimal drum components. Shell, driveplate, front bumper and scraper. Paddeddrum dimensions and performance arethe same as on the CP563E.
