Over the span of 4 hours they aim to build a split-rail fence, install bathroom partitions and re-paint MoCo’s three well-loved studios used by 2,300+ Monadnock area kids 6 days a week, 46 weeks a year. ”It’ll be our pleasure to roll up our sleeves and volunteer to make a difference for MoCo Arts and the kids they serve,” said Gina Goff, Senior Director of Community Involvement at C&S. “C&Sers around the U.S. are accomplishing 35+ projects for nonprofit groups in cities and towns where we operate,” she added. “We are excited to welcome C&S Wholesale Grocers for a fun and very meaningful day of community service,” says Reagan Messer, MoCo Arts Executive Director. “This generosity means the world to us. With 65+ dance and theatre classes held weekly in our former machine shop, there is a lot of wear and tear on the building. With their help these projects will get done on our only day off so that our focus can remain on providing high quality, inclusive and accessible arts education for our students.” National Volunteer Month is an effort to engage communities and strengthen relationships to improve the quality of life for thousands. All over the country, thousands of volunteers, including those from C&S Wholesale Grocers, will take part in dozens of volunteer projects ranging from cleaning up public parks to gardening around town. MoCo Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, multi-arts educational organization located in downtown Keene offering dance and theatre classes and multi-arts vacation and summer camps for children ages 8 months to 18+ years. As part of the educational process, MoCo Arts provides professional performance experience for students and family-friendly performances for audiences of all ages throughout the year.
