DAY 3 – MY Coral IAfter breakfast, board your flight to Baltra.Upon arrival, embark the MY Coral I for afour-night cruise. Set sail for Santa Cruz Is-land and get your first taste of this GalápagosIsland at Ballena Bay, where you’ll be on thelookout for marine iguanas, lovely pelicansand herons. Snorkel in sparkling blue-greenwaters and observe a glorious underwaterworld of tropical marine life. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 4 – Vicente Roca Point and Espinosa Point / Isabela and Fernandina IslandThis morning, visit Vicente Roca Point. Thisis a marine-only visitor site with great oppor-tunities for deep-water snorkeling. Seeplenty of red-lipped batfish, sea horses, frog-fish, nudibranchs and octopi in these waters.There are whale watching opportunitieswhile navigating from Vicente Roca Point toEspinosa Point.

In the afternoon, visit Espinosa Point on Fer-nandina Island, one of the most well-pre-served of the Galápagos Islands. Discoverone of the world’s most pristine islandecosystems as you hike through a thickcanopy of mangroves. Observe hundreds ofprehistoric marine iguanas sunbathing onblack lava rocks. All around are Galápagos

penguins, pelicans, sea lions and fur seals,ready to pose for pictures. Quiet now as youencounter flightless cormorants on theirnesting site, the only place in the world tofind this species. These birds once flew, butover time, adapted to their environment andlost their ability to fly. Be on the lookout forthe major predator on the island, the Galápa-gos hawk. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 5 – Urbina Bay and Tagus Cove /Isabela IslandStart your day with a wet landing on the vol-canic black beach at Urbina Bay. In 1954, avolcano uplifted the coral reef, leaving ma-rine skeletons that tell of its ancient past.Look for Darwin’s finches, land iguanas andthe Galápagos cotton flower in bloom. Out-standing snorkeling awaits in the crystalclear waters, showcasing fascinating marinelife. Amazing views of the Alcedo Volcano,which spewed an unusual combination ofrhyolite and basalt lava, stands as a powerfulbackdrop and reminder of nature’s power.

This afternoon, visit Tagus Cove and learnabout the eruption of the five volcanoes thatcreated the largest island. Admire the redand white mangroves, Flightless cormorantsand Galápagos penguins. Great blue herons,pelicans and brown noddies come to roost,looking for food. Watch as the sea turtles laytheir eggs and nest. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 6 – Salt Mines and Sullivan Bay/Santiago Island Today, visit the fourth largest island in theGalápagos, Santiago Island. It provides spec-tacular views of powerful volcanic activity.

Walk along the red sand beach of BuccaneerCove, named for the pirates who oncestashed their loot here.

At Espumilla Beach, watch natural wonderscome to life – marine sea turtles nesting onthe beach and the dance between prey andpredator. In the air, hunting herons swoopdown on Sally lightfoot crabs as testamentto Darwin’s theory. More than a hundredyears ago, a volcanic eruption created thedramatic landscape in Sullivan Bay. Leavingits geological footprint, the steep cliffs,black lava and tuff cones showcase the im-pact of volcanic activity in this barren ter-rain. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 7 – El Chato / Santa Cruz Arrive at Santa Cruz with a dry landing. At aprivate farm, observe immense sea turtles intheir natural habitat as they slowly meanderthrough the forest. Sounds of Darwin’sfinches, yellow warblers and Galápagos railsfill the air. As your journey comes to an end,you’ll be filled with wonder at the sights andsounds of this original paradise. This after-noon, fly to Guayaquil and enjoy a city tourwith a local guide. The evening is free forindependent exploration. Meal: B

DAY 8 – Guayaquil / USABid a fond farewell to Ecuador and its Galá-pagos Islands and return home filled with somany fond memories of the life enrichingexperiences of your small ship adventure.Meal: B
