Onboard DialysisThe Dialysis Holidays difference

The team here at Accessible Cruising are not travel agents. We are specialistdialysis co-ordinators who put you and your dialysis needs first. As well asarranging your dialysis onboard we also take care of your cruise booking, flightsand transfers, ensuring your holiday arrangements are made as smoothly aspossible.

We have many clients who book with us year after year and we are very proud ofthe service we offer. However, don’t just take our word for it – read through thetestimonials on our website and see what our clients have to say for yourself.

Our in-depth knowledge of cruising ensures we are well equipped to discuss allcruise, dialysis and accessibility options with you and we are always happy toanswer any questions you may have. After all it’s your holiday!

Your Dialysis treatments

Your dialysis treatments will take place in the dedicated Dialysis Suite onboardeach ship. You will be looked after from the beginning to the end of your cruiseby a qualified Nephrologist and nurses who are onboard for the duration ofyour cruise.

The dialysis team can be contacted 24 hours a day. Wherever possible yourdialysis treatments will be arranged around the ports of call ensuring you canmake the most of your cruise. Shore excursions are usually offered so you canvisit the local places of interest. Alternatively, if you wish to exploreindependently you can make your own way or public transport and taxisare available.

Payment for dialysis sessions

Please check with the Holiday Dialysis Co-ordinator at your dialysis unit whetherthe cost of your onboard dialysis sessions can be met. The EHIC is not acceptedonboard cruise ships. Dialysis sessions onboard Celebrity, Royal Caribbean andHolland America ships are charged at $625 (approx. £376) per session. Dialysisonboard Deutschland, Europa2, Astor, Bellejour and Belvedere is charged at€299 (approx. £239) per session. The dialysis onboard MSC Cruises is charged at€340 (approx. £272) per dialysis session.

Grants

Adults and families affected by kidney disease who are unable to pay the full costof a holiday can apply to the British Kidney Patient Association (BKPA) for agrant. To apply for a grant please contact your renal unit social worker or amember of your kidney care team.

Passport & Visa Requirements

All guests must be in possession of a valid passport and visas (if required). If youare visiting the USA, Egypt, Russia, Libya or Lebanon during your cruise and donot wish to participate in an organised excursion you will need to obtain a visaprior to travel (this applies to UK passport holders - if you are not a UK passportholder please visit www.visacentral.co.uk for current visa requirements).IMPORTANT:The above list of countries is not exhaustive. Please note it is yourresponsibility to obtain the correct visa documents where required and it is veryimportant that you check www.visacentral.co.uk for current visa information asthe information provided here may change. All informationmust be received from your renal unit and your bookingconfirmed prior to the date shown to take advantage ofthe discount. Offer applies to cruise element only anddoes not include flights or transfers.

• Your cruise, transfers, flights and hotel are bookedseparately and therefore does not constitute a packageholiday and does not include package holiday protection.

• ESTA: If your travel arrangements have a scheduled stopin the United States, you are required to obtain approvalto travel, through the new Electronic System for TravelAuthorisation (ESTA). ESTA is an automated system todetermine your eligibility to travel to or transit throughthe United States and whether such travel poses anysecurity risk.You will be unable to enter the UnitedStates under the visa waiver programme (VWP) unlessyou have obtained an ESTA prior to travel.You maycheck your eligibility for this programme and apply for

Dialysis at Sea carry a surety bond toprotect clients in case of bankruptcy. All bookingsonboard MSC Cruises are protected by APS (French tradeassociation of solidarity of tourism) and SNAV (Frenchnational trade union of travel agencies). All paymentsare protected by a financial guarantee provided by APSand SNAS. Therefore, if any of the above cruisecompanies cease to operate your payment will beprotected. ABTA bonding is not applicable to your cruisebooking as ABTA will not refund any payments made tocompanies outside of the UK. When booking andpaying for flights, hotels, transfers in GBP£ theseelements of your booking will be fully ABTA bonded.

I just wanted to let you know that my parentsand I really enjoyed the cruise around the

Norwegian Fjords and to thank you for all yourhelp in arranging the trip. The medical team onboard was excellent and looked after my fatherextremely well. As you can imagine we were alittle apprehensive with this being our first tripaway since my father has needed dialysis but
