HOW TO READ OUR PROGRAMSCheck below, an example of what information is includedand different areas which are similar for each program.

Tips, suggested visits, hotels and restaurants, and some information about each destination

It`s your tour if you want to visit the best of Patagonia. The tour starts with a visit to the Argentina`s Capital City. Didin`t you visit Buenos Aires yet? Well, our city will surprise you! Walk Recoleta Area and enjoy the architecture. It`s not Europe, but you will find part of this continent in our city. Take a breath to lunch or dinner in Puerto Madero and walk the area. And of course, visit San Telmo Fair on sundays for some interesting handycrafts. And do not forget to visit a Tango Show! La Ventana and Gala Tango are my favourites. We have great hotels in the city, let me suggest the Pestana Buenos Aires, good location, excellent services. Amnother excellent option is the Lennox Buenos Aires, new, boutique, excellent service.

Iguazu Falls is the magic of nature. The park offers up to 8km of trails to enjoy the falls in different circuits. The show is incredible. Bring enough space in your camera because you will take hundred of photos! The Sheraton Iguazu is the only hotel located in the park, so you`re always few steps from the falls. Let me suggest also Panoramic Hotel and also the Iguazu Grand Hotel & Casino, excellent service!

In Bariloche, get ready to enjoy wonderful sceneries with lakes and mountains. Taste the local chocolate, and go to Familia Weiss Restaurant to enjoy an exquisite local cuisine. Hotel Cacique Inacayal is a wonderful option to stay there.

I`m sure you will enjoy enjoy Patagonia travelling with our company !

DAY1 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - USHUAIA Check in between 10:00 and 16:00 at 409 San Martín Street. Board the M/V Stella Australis cruise ship at 17:30. After a welcoming cocktail reception hosted by the Captain and his crew, the M/V Stella Australis will depart for one of the remotest parts of the planet. Our voyage will take us through the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to explore one of the most breathtaking wilderness regions in the world: Southern Patagonia, which includes the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.

DAY 2 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - CAPE HORN & WULAIA BAYWe will be sailing through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park, where, weather permit-ting, we shall go ashore. The legendary Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is a sheer 425-meter (1,394-foot) high rocky promontory. For many years it was an important navigation route between the Pacific and the Atlantic, and is referred to as the ‘End of the Earth’. The park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005.In the afterno-on, we will go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the region’s largest Yamana aboriginal settle-ments. Charles Darwin landed there in 1833 during his voyage on the HMS Beagle. This area is also renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its vegetation and geography. We will take an enchanted walk through the Magellan Forest of lengas, coigües, canelos, ferns, and other endemic vegetation, to reach a panoramic viewpoint.

DAY 3 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - DE AGOSTINI SOUNDWe will be sailing through Brecknock, Ocasión, Cockburn, and Magdalena Channels to enter the spectacular De Agostini Sound, in the heart of the Darwin Mountain Range. This is where we shall see glaciers sliding down the mountainside all the way to the sea.In the afternoon, in well-equipped Zodiac boats, we will travel to the Águila Glacier where we will embark upon an easy walk to its base. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of Patagonia’s cold rainforest and to see how the power of nature has molded the spectacular landscape.

DAY 4 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - MAGDALENA ISLAND Early in the morning, weather permitting, we will go ashore on Magdalena Island, located in the middle of the Strait of Magellan. The island used to be an essential source of supplies for navigators and explorers and is inhabited by an immense colony of Magellan Penguins that we will be able to see during our walk to the lighthouse. In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a ride aboard Zodiacs to Marta Island to observe South American Sea Lions. Finally, disembarkation at Punta Arenas is scheduled for 11:30.

701 tour - AUSTRALIS CRUISE from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas 3-night cruise from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas, visiting Cape Horn, Magdalena Island, Glaciers and Fjords.

AUSTRALIS CRUISE

DAY1 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - PUNTA ARENAS Check in at 990 Magallanes Street between 13:00 and 17:00. Board the M/V Via Australis or M/V Stella Australis cruise ship at 18:00. After a welcoming cocktail reception hosted by the Captain and his crew, the ship will depart for one of the remotest parts of the planet. Our trip will take us through the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to explore one of the most breathtaking wilder-ness regions in the world: Southern Patagonia, which includes the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.

DAY 2 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - AINSWORTH BAY AND TUCKERS ISLETS At dawn, we will navigate our way through Almirantazgo Sound, arriving at Ainsworth Bay which is sited within Alberto De Agostini National Park. It’s the perfect spot from which to see the Marinelli Glacier descending from Darwin Mountain Range in the distance; and to appreciate how the land returns to life after glacial retreat. We will also take a walk to a beaver dam in the stunning sub-polar Magellan Forest. Whether on the beach or the island, there’s a good chance of sighting Southern Elephant Seals. But do bear in mind the fact that sightings cannot be guaranteed due to the colony’s unpredictable movements.Later, we will be sailing to Tuckers Islets, and after lunch, we will board well-equipped Zodiac boats to get close to a colony of Magellan Penguins (indigenous to the Southern Hemisphere) and cormo-rants. In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a short walk to a nearby glacier at Brookes Bay.

DAY 3 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - PIA GLACIER & ALLEY GLACIERWe will navigate along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel before disembarking at Pia Fjord. From there, we’ll take a short hike to a panoramic viewpoint from where we can enjoy specta-cular views of the awe-inspiring Pia Glacier whose main tongue extends from the mountaintops down to the sea. After this memorable experience, we will continue our voyage along the Beagle Channel through the majestic Glacier Alley.

DAY 4 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - CAPE HORN & WULAIA BAYWe will be sailing through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park, where, weather permitting, we shall go ashore. The legendary Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is a sheer 425-meter (1,394-foot) high rocky promon-tory. We will take an enchanted walk through the Mage-llan Forest of lengas, coigües, canelos, ferns, and other endemic vegetation, to reach a panoramic viewpoint.

DAY 5 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - USHUAIA Acknowledged as the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia was founded in 1884 and was one of the original points of encounter between the Yamana and Anglican cultures. Its name derives from the Yamana word for ‘penetrating bay’ and it’s surrounded by the last high peaks of the Andes. Today, it is one of the largest cities on Tierra del Fuego Island, with around 65,000 inhabitants. Disembarkation is scheduled at 08:00. The perfect opportunity to enjoy the city and its spectacular scenery.

GLACIER GOURMET EXPERIENCE CRUISE

Transfer from the hotels in El Calafate to Paraje Punta Bandera. Boarding time at 9:00 a.m. at the company’s own dock “La Soledad” (Bahía Tranquila, Paraje Punta Bandera).

The navigation starts towards the northwest, crossing Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, the narrowest passage in the lake with almost 800 meters.

After two hours of navigation, the series of ice floes, of the most varied colors and shapes, anticipates the proximity of Upsala glacier. We will stop in front of the barrier of ice floes which, at present, is blocking the entrance to Canal Upsala. If the weather conditions are good, we will observe the Upsala glaciers at the distance.

We continue navigating Lago Argentino towards the South, taking the Canal Spegazzini in order to reach the glacier that bears the same name. The navigation allows us to get closer to the glacier, which has front walls between 80 and 135 meters (262 – 443 feet) above lake level. Lunch is served amidst this stunning landscape.

Towards the afternoon, the Crucero Leal will arrive at Puesto de Las Vacas (an extremely quiet bay in the Canal Spegazzini), where its engines will be stopped to let passengers share an amusing walk coordinatedby our team of guides. In this stop, it is possible to see stunning panoramic views of the Spegazzini glacier.

Once onboard, we will return through Brazo Norte and get back to the boarding dock La Soledad at 6:00 p.m.

Note: the itinerary is subject to changes based on the captain criteria to guarantee the passengers safety.

DAY 1 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER TUESDAY OR FRIDAY Arrival to El Calafate Airport. 7:30 p.m. we will transfer you to Bahia Tranquila, to board the cruise at the company’s own dock “La Soledad” (Bahía Tranquila, Paraje Punta Bandera). We will navigate to Bahia Alemana. On board activities included. Dinner and Night in Bahia Alemana.

DAY 2 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER WEDNESDAY OR SATURDAYAt 9:00 a.m., we will start navigating towards the North, passing through Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, which is the narrowest passage in the lake with around 800 meters. After one hour of navigation along Brazo Norte, we will see the series of ice floes, of the most varied colors and shapes, which anticipate the proximity of the stunning Upsala glacier. We will stop in front of barrier of ice floes which, at present, is blocking the entrance to Canal Upsala. If the weather conditions are good, we will observe the Upsala glaciers at the distance. The Upsala is 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) wide on the lake, its walls are 60 meters (197 feet) high on average, and its total surface is about 900 km2 (347 square miles), including its drainage basin.

We continue navigating Lago Argentino towards the South, taking the Canal Spegazzini for the next stop in front of Spegazzini glacier. The front walls are around 80 and 135 meters (262 – 443 feet). The Spegazzini looks like a huge icy river that descends from a rocky mountainside until it plunges into the lake. It is there, in front of this marvelous sight, where we will enjoy our first lunch.

Towards the afternoon, the Crucero Santa Cruz will arrive at Puesto Las Vacas (an extremely quiet bay in the Canal Spegazzini), where it will stop its engines to let us enjoy a long rest or a walk coordinatedby our team of guides. In this first stop, we will be able to see stunning panoramic views of the Spegazzini glacier.Once again on-board, we will enjoy a filling afternoon snack. The next destination will be Bahia del Toro, in Seno Mayo. After dinner, passengers can join some of the activities organized by the crew. A lively talk, sharing ideas and the feelings created during the day, or the observation of the constellation map on a moon night, are just perfect for ending the second day of our journey.

DAY 3 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER THURSDAY OR SUNDAYAt dawn, while we navigate south, passengers will have breakfast. We will land once again and get into the Andean-Patagonian woods to experience the magnificent natural landscape of Mayo and Negro glaciers. There, we will get to exclusively know the continental ice shelter where many journeymen left their traces.

After crossing the Canal de los Témpanos, the Crucero will arrive at the most outstanding of the glaciers, the Perito Moreno, where we will travel around the 2.5 kilometer front (1.5 miles) on the lake. Its walls, which are almost 60 meters (197 feet) high, still surprise with numerous calvings and powerful sounds. We will have lunch surrounded by this spectacular natural landscape.

On the way back, while we navigate through Lago Argentino towards the company’s own dock La Soledad, we will have our farewell toast, the end of our journey. At 4 p.m., we will land and be transferred to El Calafate airport (you probably will need an extra night in El Calafate to connect with your flight)

DAY 3- WednesdayAn early exploring for bird-watching and good chances to see the Victoria Regia, the giant water lilies in the Janauary Ecological Park. We will visit several kinds of forest including the strange and beautiful seasonally ooded forest known by Amazon Indians as the Igapó and the fantastically rich varzea forest. While we enjoin breakfast the boat starts navigation toward the "Meeting of the Waters". The light colored water of the Amazon and the dark water of the Negro do not readily mix and the two rivers ow sidr by side for many miles. Now we navigate the Rio Negro upstream while we past Manaus port, with views of the oating docks, market, old custom house and the dome of the Opera house. After lunch we meet us in the leisure room for lectures about the Amazon, where we will get a good start on understanding Amazon preservation and ecology. After dinner we will explore the forest in our canoes and listen to the chorus of birds and frogs with the possibility of observing nocturnal animals.

DAY 4- Thursday Early morning we explore the rain forest along the waters edge in our canoes while we mainly nd fruit eating birds like parrots and toucans. After breakfast we go for a walk in the forest where we espacially focus on the ways that plants and animals have evolved in the rain forest and relations between the plants and their phisical environment. Around midday we return and we may go for a swim, before lunch. In the afternoon we navigate through the Anavilhanas National Park, one of the world`s largest fresh water archipelagos, more then 1000 miles from the ocean. In the late afternoon we embark in the canoes and learn more about this wonderful nature park.

DAY 5- Friday If there are anglers among us, spend a little time shing this early morning. After breakfast we visit a "Natives Community". A walk through their gardens is always interesting as many of these settlers are of Indian ancestry and the breadth of their knowledge of the rainforest is enormous. We learn about the preparation of manioc our and the health and education situations of the children. After lunch we are landing on one of the white sandy beaches to swim in some of the world`s most clean and refreshing water. Exploring by canoe and scout for wildlife in the late afternoon. On the way toward the Amazon River will be served dinner.

DAY 6- SaturdayEarly this morning we explore the Lago Janauary Ecological Park. This area is usually a very good place to observe wildlife and chances to see the "Victoria Regia" the giant water lilies. While we have breakfast we navigate to the "Meeting of the Waters", where the world`s two largest rivers, the Amazon and the Negro, join in a turbulent maelstrom. Now is time to return to the Tropical Hotel landing-stage while we join ne views of Manaus` waterfront. Arrival at 11:30 hrs. End of services.

The program includes - Welcolme drink, all meals, accommodation in double cabins and excursions as described in the itinerary, bilingual guide.

Prices do not include - Alcoholic beverages or soft drinks, personal expenses, transfers, tips, travel insurance and anything else not listed as included.

Changes in Routing - We reserve the right to change itineraries without consulting or warning participants of the tour, depending on the natural conditions prevailing at the time, such as weather conditions or river waterlevel. 750 tour - CRUISE TO WEDELL SEA & EMPEROR PENGUIN

B L DBreakfast Lunch Dinner included

10-night cruise to Antarctica, visiting Wedell Sea, Emperor Penguin Colony. Includes Helicopter Ride

DAY 1 - USHUAIAIn the afternoon, we embark in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world located at the Beagle Channel and sail through this scenic waterway for the rest of the evening.

DAY 2 - 3: AT SEADuring these two days we will sail across the Drake Passage. When we cross the Antarctic Convergence, we arrive in the circum-Antarctic up welling zone. In this area we may meet Wandering Albatrosses, Grey Headed Albatrosses, Black-browed Albatrosses, Light-mantled Sooty Albatrosses, Cape Pigeons, Southern Fulmars, Wilson’s Storm Petrels, Blue Petrels and Antarctic Petrels.

DAY 4 - WEDELL SEAA typical itinerary in the Weddell Sea could be as follows. This is a sample only, the nal itinerary will be determined by the Expedition Leader on board. We will sail into the Weddell Sea and if the Antarctic Sound is accessible and the ice does not prevent us to sail further, we might see the huge tabular icebergs that announce our arrival to the eastern side of the Antarctic Peninsula. We plan to oer an Antarctic Continent landing at Brown Blu.

DAY 5-6: EMPERORS PENGUIN COLONY The use of helicopters has a great advantage and can support us in our goal to reach the Emperor penguin colony, but the itinerary is ruled by the forces of nature, ice and weather conditions. If the conditions are favourable, we intend to spend the rst two days in the Emperor Penguin rookery. The helicopter operation will take a full day and the ight duration takes approximately 15 minutes. The helicopter can accommodate 6 passengers per helicopter ight. The landing point of the helicopters will be carefully chosen and we will make sure that the Emperors are not disturbed or stressed by helicopter noise. Therefore, after arrival, the passengers continue their expedition on foot. After a walk of approx. 45 minutes, passengers will experience one of the greatest moments in their life, a rendezvous with the magnicent Emperor Penguins. Keep in mind that we are in the world’s most remote area and there are no guarantees, including a specic amount of helicopter time. Conditions may change rapidly, having its impact on the helicopter operation and passengers should understand and accept this. Safety is our greatest concern and no compromises can be made.

DAY 7 - DEVILS & VEGA ISLANDIIf conditions were favourable on both day 5 and 6 and we have successfully visited the Emperor Penguins, we may decide to visit Devil Island, Vega Island or Hope Bay. If we have not reached the Emperor Penguin colony on one or two of the previous days, we will try again oering ship-to-shore helicopter ights to Snow Hill Island.

DAY 8 - HALF MOON ISLANDEIn the morning we plan to visit Half Moon Island where we can see Chinstrap and Gentoo Penguins, various other bird-species and Southern Elephant Seals and Weddell seals. Early in the afternoon we will sail to Deception where we have the last landing of our voyage at Pendulum cove

DAY 9-10: AT SEAIn the Drake Passage we have again a chance of seeing many seabirds and to take advantage of the knowledge of our lecture team

DAY 11 - USHUAIAArrival to Ushuaia and disembarkation in the morning

PLEASE NOTE:A typical itinerary to the Weddell Sea is illustrated below. All itineraries are for guidance only. Programs may vary depending on local ice and weather conditions, the availability of landing sites and opportunities to see wildlife. The nal itinerary will be determined by the Expedition Leader on board. Flexibility is paramount for expedition cruises.

751 tour - CRUISE TO ANTARCTIC PENINSULA: Base Camp

B L DBreakfast Lunch Dinner included

10-night cruise to Antarctic Peninsula with Base Camp and activities included

DAY 1 - USHUAIAIn the afternoon, we embark in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world located at the Beagle Channel and sail through this scenic waterway for the rest of the evening.

DAY 2 - 3: AT SEADuring these two days we sail across the Drake Passage. When we cross the Antarctic Convergence, we arrive in the circum-Antarctic up welling zone. In this area we may see Wandering Albatrosses, Grey Headed Albatrosses, Black- browed Albatrosses, Light- mantled Sooty Albatrosses, Cape Pigeons, Southern Fulmars, Wilson’s Storm Petrels, Blue Petrels and Antarctic Petrels. Near the South Shetland Islands, we spot our rst icebergs.

DAY 4 - 8: ANTARCTICAWe will sail directly to “High Antarctica”, passing the Melchior islands and the Schollaert Channel between Brabant and Anvers Island. We will sail to the Neumayer Channel, where we position our ship for the multi activity base camp. The protected waters around Wiencke Island will become our playground for all activities. In this alpine environment there are great opportunities to scout the region on foot, per zodiac and during kayak trips. Walkers will nd opportunities to use snowshoes on hikes near the shore lines and the mountaineers will nd their challenge by climbing hills and view points further inland, i.e. Jabet Peak (540 m). All climbs and excursions can only be conducted in good weather conditions.

We plan to stay two overnights at anchor in order to implement two camp nights and two full activity days. We will visit the British research station and the post oce Port Lockroy on Goudier Island. Close to Port Lockroy we may also oer a landing on Jougla Point with Gentoo Penguins and Imperial Shags. We look out for leopard seals, crabeater seals and whales .

In good conditions and time allowing we sail through the spectacular Lemaire Channel to Booth Island, Pleneau and Petermann Island where we can nd Adelie Penguins and Blue-eyed Shags. In this area there are good chances to encounter Humpback Whales, Minke Whales and Fin Whales. We choose another camp site which is suitable and close to next day’s activity.

At Neko Harbour we will have the opportunity to set foot on the Antarctic Continent in a magnicent landscape of a huge glacier and enjoy the landscape during zodiac cruises, hikes and kayak excursions. A small group of mountaineers may climb up on higher grounds of the glacier. We will spend the night at Neko or near Paradise Bay with a camp erected ashore. We will leave early morning after breaking our last camp. We sail via Melchior Islands towards the open sea of the Drake Passage. We have again a chance of seeing many seabirds.

Paradise Bay with a camp erected ashore. We will leave Neko Harbour in the early morning after breaking our last camp. We sail via Melchior Islands towards the open sea of the Drake Passage. We have again a chance of seeing many seabirds. -

DAY 9-10: AT SEAOn our way north, we are again followed by a great selection of seabirds while crossing the Drake Passage

DAY 11 - USHUAIAArrival to Ushuaia and disembarkation in the morning

PLEASE NOTE:A Basecamp itinerary to the Antarctic Peninsula is illustrated below. All itineraries are for guidance only. Programs may vary depending on local ice and weather conditions, the availability of landing sites and opportunities to see wildlife. The nal itinerary will be determined by the Expedition Leader on board. Flexibility is paramount for expedition cruises. During our “Basecamp Plancius” departures all oered activities (including camping, kayaking, snowshoe/hiking, mountaineering, photo workshops as well as our standard included shore excursions and zodiac cruises) are free of charge, except for scuba diving (this is supplemented).

3-night cruise to visit San Cristobal and Floreana Islands aboard Ocean Spray

760 tour- OCEAN SPRAY CRUISE TO GALAPAGOS ISLANDSDAY 1 - SAN CRISTOBAL - SATURDAYArrival to San Cristobal and transfer to boat. PM visit to Lobos Island / Kicker RockLobos Island is named after the sea lions that rest and play on its rocky shores. It is also home to blue-footed boobies, great frigate-birds, brown pelicans, lava gulls, common noddies, yellow warblers and small and medium ground finches. There is good snorkeling in the clear waters of the channel and this is one of the best sites at which to swim with sea lions underwater.

Also in the afternoon is Kicker Rock. It is a small, distinctive island comprised of two rocks that jut out of the ocean and is home to a large colony of sea birds. Kicker Rock is an excellent dive site where you can see many reef fish as well as hammerhead and Galapagos sharks. Sightings of large rays and turtles are common but not guaranteed.

DAY 2 - SAN CRISTOBAL - SUNDAYAM: Visit to Pitt Point. Pitt Point, situated on the north-eastern tip of the island, hosts frigatebirds, storm petrels, and all three types of Booby Birds: the Nazca, Blue-footed and Red-footed Boobies. A steep trail goes up a cliff and through a ravine leading visitors to an area with an abundance of birds. This site is also great for snorkeling and scuba diving.

PM visit to Witch Hill. Located on the northern coast, this eroded hill and its surroundings present one of the most picturesque beaches in the Galapagos with its white powdery sand and the abundance of animals. Wildlife includes sea turtles, rays, and various types of Booby Birds. The clear water provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy swimming and snorkeling.

DAY 3 - FLOREANA - MONDAYAm visit to Post Office Bay in Floreana Island. In the 18th century whalers passing through the islands placed a wooden barrel on Floreana Island for use as an unofficial mail box. The tradition continues today as visitors leave addressed postcards in the barrel and sort through left mail to deliver at home.

Pm, visit to Cormorant Point and Devil`s Crown. This site hosts a large flamingo lagoon where other birds such as common stilts, White-cheeked Pintails can also be seen. The beaches on this island are distinct: The “Green Beach” named so due to its green color, which comes from a high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand, and the “Four Sand Beach” composed of white coral.

DAY 4 - FLOREANA - TUESDAYAm visit to Black Turtle CoveBlack Turtle Cove is situated in the northern part of Santa Cruz. This inlet is surrounded by mangroves and is only accessible by dinghy. The shallow cove is a safe haven for young marine life. Blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, sea turtles, and a variety of rays are often spotted here.

Please keep in mind that on departures days, your morning visit will be early and short since we need to be prepared before heading back toward the airport for your returning flight to Ecuador’s mainland.

The island was formed by a series of submarine lavas containing layers of sediment that were uplifted by tectonic activity. The island is characterized by its arid vegetation zone.

Santa Cruz HighlandsHere at the Highlands, you can walk along a path, observing the hills, ferns, volcanoes, and rich wildlife. This area is home to giant tortoises, forest, mockingbirds, Bahama ducklings, White-cheeked Pintail ducklings, Darwin finches, and many other species.

DAY 5 - MOSQUERA ISLET - SATURDAY Located between the islands of Baltra and North Seymour, this reef of rocks and coral (the result of an uprising) is only 160 meters across at its narrowest width. This island has one of the largest populations of sea lions and is home to many shorebirds. There have been occasional reports at this site of Orcas feeding on sea lions.

Please keep in mind that on departures days, your morning visit will be early and short since we need to be prepared before heading back toward the airport for your returning flight to Ecuador’s mainland.

DAY 1 - BALTRA - CHINESE HAT - SATURDAYGalapagos sea lionsAssistance will be provided for you when you arrive to the airport by one of our representatives after you have landed. You will arrive at Baltra Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim you will be met by Ocean Spray staff and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing. The afternoon visit to Chinese Hat, offers rare, up close viewing of Galapagos wildlife and well preserved remnants of fragile volcanic rock that can't be found in such a unique condition anywhere else. The islet is home to a colony of sea lions on the white coral sand beach. Here you can see American Oystercatchers, Galapagos Penguins swimming along the shores, and Sally-Lightfoot Crabs in bright contrast to the dark volcanic rock.

DAY 2 - ISABELA ISLAND: VICENTE ROCA POINT & FERNANDINA ISLAND: ESPINOSA POINT - SUNDAYGalapagos Blue-footed BoobiesIsabela Island: The largest in the archipelago, this seahorse-shaped island is also one of the youngest and most volcanically active.

The morning visit is to Vicente Roca Point. Comprised of two separate coves, this site is a large bay with spectacular sea life. Keep an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles, and the strange yet fascinating Mola-mola (or pacific sunfish).Fernandina Island: No foreign species have ever invaded Fernandina Island and therefore it is one of the world's most pristine island ecosystems. Fernandina is the youngest island in Galapagos. Access to this site is extremely restricted by the Galapagos National Park and you will be one of those very lucky visitors. The volcano "La Cumbre" dominates the landspace with lava fields reaching the ocean. Crossing the Bolivar Channel that divides Isabela and Fernandina Islands, we will land at Espinosa Point. After walking past a colony of marine iguanas and a group of sea lions, we'll reach the island's highlight: the Flightless Cormorant nesting site. This area provides a great opportunity to see the Galapagos Hawk.

DAY 3 - ISABELA ISLAND: TAGUS COVE & URBINA BAY - MONDAYGalapagos Giant tortoisesThe morning visit, including Tagus Cove's cliff-side gallery, provides a clear view of pirate graffiti dating back to 1836. The contrast between vandalism and the pristine environment is thought provoking. Up the (1.25 mi / 2 km) hike through lava formations, we will see stunning views of the surrounding slopes and volcanoes, making our way to Darwin Lake. This salt-water crater-lake may have been filled with a tidal wave brought on by a volcanic eruption. In the afternoon, we will land at Urbina Bay which presents some fascinating geological formations. In 1954, an uplift from the sea formed the bay which has been characterized by the resulting terrestrial coral reef ever since. Expect to see stingrays and sea turtles swimming near the surface of the water, along with Flightless Cormorants, pelicans, and marine iguanas. You will be dazzled by the breathtaking view of Volcano Alcedo, with the possibility to see land iguanas and giant tortoises in the wild.

DAY 4 - ISABELA ISLAND: ELIZABETH BAY & MORENO POINT - TUESDAYThe morning visit will take us to Elizabeth Bay, a secluded space lacking any landing sites. We will take a traditional 'panga' ride or dinghy ride, passing the red mangroves and amongst the wildlife of the lively bay. Elizabeth is known for its marine life; you will probably see sea turtles and rays skimming the surface of the water. You may also see Brown Pelicans diving for fish, penguins, Blue-footed Boobies and possibly spot humpback whalesIn the afternoon we will visit Moreno Point, located south west of Elizabeth Bay. Here, a dry landing onto what was once flowing lava is possible. The lava has left craters in its wake, which formed crystal tide pools. By looking into the pools, you can peer into another world, as the marine life drifts by. In the brackish pools of this area, you may see pink flamingos, White-Cheeked Pintails, and Common Gallinules. If you look carefully into the pools you may see white-tip reef sharks and some sea turtles.

DAY 5 - GENOVESA ISLAND: DARWIN BAY & EL BARRANCO - WEDNESDAYOur morning visit will take us to the beach at Darwin Bay. This white-sand coral beach heads a (1/2 mi / 3/4 km) trail that winds through mangroves that are filled with land birds. You may see Nazca Boobies, Red-footed Boobies, and Swallow-tailed Gulls. Further down the path, you may see sea lions playing in tidal pools. You will arrive cliff-side and can let the spectacular views soak in, while the Boobies and iguanas keep you company. The afternoon takes us to El Barranco or The Cliff, also known as Prince Phillip's Steps, whose steep, rocky path will lead you up 25 meters (82 ft) of cliff-face. After marveling at the view you will have the opportunity to take a (0.9 mi / 2 km) trek through Palo Santo vegetation. Here you will be dazzled by all the birds: Red-footed Boobies, Short-eared Lava Owls, Galapagos storm petrels and Galapagos Doves.

DAY 6 - SANTIAGO ISLAND: ESPUMILLA BEACH / BUCCANEER COVE & EGAS PORT - THURSDAYWe will visit Espumilla Beach where marine iguanas lounge and the Sally-Lightfoot crabs attract the hunting herons and perform the dance of predator and prey right before your eyes. Snorkeling is highly recommended as you could find yourself face to face with an octopus, moray eel, shark, or a variety of other species of tropical fish. Buccaneer Cove is a testament to the fact that Santiago Island was once a refuge for British buccaneers. They would anchor in the protected bay to make repairs and stock up on tortoise meat among other things. It is an excellent opportunity to take in the steep cliffs, where hundreds of seabirds perch in front of the dark red sand beach. See if you can spot 'Monk' or 'Elephant' Rock before your guide points them out! The afternoon visit is to a site called Egas Port, also known as James Bay, on Santiago Island. Here, you will enjoy a hike over a dry trail known for being a hang-out for curious Galapagos Hawks and Quick-footed Galapagos Lava Lizards. The trail will then lead you to the coastline where you will visit the gorgeous tide pools and grottos which are full of fauna. You will be able to observe the shy Galapagos fur sea lions. You will also get to snorkel at Egas Port beach.

DAY 7 - NORTH SEYMOUR & SANTA CRUZ ISLAND: HIGHLANDS - FRIDAYGalapagos Sea Lions, Blue-footed Boobies and Magnificent Frigatebirds are abundant on North Seymour Island. The island was formed by a series of submarine lavas containing layers of sediment that were uplifted by tectonic activity. The island is characterized by its arid vegetation zone.In the afternoon we will visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz where you will walk along a path, observing the hills, ferns, volcanoes, and rich wildlife. This area is home to giant tortoises and also the Tortoise Breeding Center which you'll be able to visit. At the breeding center you will be able to see the tortoises in captivity and possibly interact with them as well! Here they have tortoises from 4 inches to 4 feet long! When the young turtles are old enough they are released into the wild.

DAY 8 - MOSQUERA ISLET - DEPARTURE - SATURDAYMosquera Islet is located between the islands of Baltra and North Seymour. It is a reef of rocks and coral (the result of an uprising) and a great white sand beach. Its narrowest width reaches about 160 meters and has an estimated length of 600 meters. In most of the perimeter there is a base of lava rocks, as evidence of the lava uprising, except in the southwest side where the landing occurs. This island has one of the largest populations of sea lions. You can also observe several species of shorebirds. There have been occasional reports at this site of Orcas (Orcinus orca) feeding on sea lions. After this final visit, you will be transferred to Baltra Island's airport in time to catch your flight back to the mainland.
