Wait ListEnrollment will be on a first-come, first-serve basis within each grade

(based on the date of the letter of intent to enroll) within each grade.

 

First priority will go to:

1. Siblings of presently enrolled children2. Children of staff and grandchildren of staff members that have been employed by the school for more than 5 years.3. All residents who live in School District 50. 4. All residents who live in the City of Westminster, but outside the boundaries of District 50.5. Core Knowledge transfer students.6.  All other students regardless of residence or school district will have an opportunity to enroll.

FISCAL SOLVENCY

Funded at least 95% PPOR District holds up to 5% for

administrative costs ~$ 2.6 million operating budget

Funding the Facility No money from the D50 bond election was used to

build the Crown Pointe Facility. Per state law, charter schools may have Building

Corporations to assume debt without going to the voters.

Bonds valued at $7,755,000 were sold to fund the building. The bonds will be repaid using PPOR and capital construction money.

The school used $1,500,000 of reserve funds to complete the project.

The school leases the facility from the Building Corporation

Students begin Math 1 (first Grade Math) in Kindergarten.

Students move to Math 2 in First grade if able.

Algebra 1 And Geometry are offered in Middle School

Student-centered Pacing Reading

Ability Grouping within the classroom for K and 1st grade – allows for enrichment or slower pacing to student's ability

2nd – 5th grades block reading. Students change between the grade level classes. Students who are advanced use the grade level curriculum and Junior Great Books for the grade level above.
