A LETTER FROM THE COACHGreetings from Crown College! Let me start off by thanking you for taking the time to explore Crown College as a possible destination to continue your academic and athletic pursuits. Crown is a place where you will be challenged to grow as a student, an athlete, and most importantly, a man of God. Our basketball program seeks to mirror the college in putting service to Christ first. My top priority is to see you graduate from college as a mature, well-prepared, Christian leader. Basketball is a tool to accomplish that goal and you will learn lessons on the court that simply can’t be taught in a classroom.

At Crown, we have created a family environment that will be both demanding and extremely rewarding. We focus on responsibility, accountability, sacrifice, and playing for the man next to you – all while giving the glory to God. By focusing on these characteristics, we have created a program that is competitive in the UMAC and, in time, the Midwest region.

We’re looking for student-athletes that are dedicated, humble, hard-working, and have a heart for Christ AND basketball. My pledge is that if you commit to growing as a student, athlete, and Christian at Crown College, you will come away a man that is prepared to make an impact in whatever field you choose to enter. Please feel free to contact me any time with questions about our program.

Best of luck in your college search and God bless.

CROWN ATHLETICS• Proud members of the NCAA Division III

• 12 Varsity Sports: Basketball (M/W), Baseball, Cross Country (M/W), Football, Golf (M/W), Soccer (M/W), Softball (W), Volleyball (W)

NCAA IIIThe emphasis of the NCAA III is on the holistic development of the student-athlete with the understanding that degree completion – not athletic success – should be the primary focus of the student-athlete. With over 400 member institutions, some of the most competitive athletics in the nation can be found at NCAA III contests.

Since Crown College also strives to provide for the holistic development of its students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically, our membership in the NCAA III is a perfect fit.

BY: DENNIS AND DESIREE KUIK, PARENTS OF STUDENT ATHLETE, MATT KUIK.

We’ve seen how Coach Herbert not only invests in Matt as a basketball player, but also as a young man who is first a student then an athlete. Matt has grown more confident and more discerning. He has grown more independent, but yet more dependent upon his relationship with Christ. What a joy as parents to see our son begin to fully understand what it means to really desire and depend upon Christ for everything.

We’ve clearly seen these past 2 ½ years that Crown was clearly the best choice for Matt. His professors challenge him, his coaches push him to give more than he thought he could and he has met people from diverse backgrounds that have helped him look at the world differently. WOW are we thankful!

The opportunities are endless for a child to find their place at Crown. Crown College will provide your child with a family environment that feels safe and nurturing, yet your child will be challenged to be a critical thinker, hone the necessary skills to equip them to serve and to lead where God desires them to be.
