John 13:1 

 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father.

Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

John 18:37  

…Jesus answered, .... In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
