    delieries to aoid haing to store material in the "arehouse. /ot all material is suitable for cross docking but "hen

    it can be used it reduces labor costs deliery time to the customer and the amount of "arehouse s!ace

    Types of Cross Docking:A number of cross$docking scenarios are aailable for "arehouse management

    a) Manufacturing Cross %ocking$ Warehouse may receie the material and issue for !roduction orders b) %istributor

    Cross %ocking$ e0am!le, com!uter !arts distributors often source their com!onents from arious endors and

    manufactures and combine them into one shi!ment for the customer c) Trans!ortation Cross %ocking$ Combines

    shi!ments from different shi!!ers in the less than $truckload (*T*) and small !ackage d) 1etail Cross %ocking$
