In Croatia, any form of camping in free areas outside registered campsites or parking areas for caravans and motor homes is forbidden and punishable by law.

Croatia is characterized by its long tradition as a Mediterranean heaven for camping enthusiasts and camping tourism is very well developed and extensive. Thanks to new highway connections and to the growing number of low cost flights, today, more than ever, it is easier and faster to arrive to Croatia and travel through it, regardless of whether your destination is Istra, Kvarner, Dalmatia, one of the islands or the continental part of Croatia.
You have chosen OK Mini Camps, the selection of the best small campsites brought to you by the Croatian Camping Union. Well done!
OK Mini campsites are smaller campsites with capacity of up to 200 people and they represent an ideal escape from the rush and stress and enable you to enjoy your holiday in family surroundings – local people offer their fields and gardens for tents, campers and camping trailers, which is certainly the fastest way to get acquainted with the country and its people, their tradition, habits and gastronomy. For the most part mini camps are located near the sea and along main roads, they are easily accessible and convenient, which makes them a perfect starting point for everyday excursions in the surrounding area, whilst at the same time they are a real alternative for quick-stops for the ones traveling by camper, so it isn’t surprising that they are a beloved destination for the seekers of an individual holiday experience.
In order for your holiday to be really relaxing and to ensure that you avoid unpleasant surprises on arrival at your chosen camping destination, we have selected for you quality small campsites that meet an entire range of standards and criteria, from the campsite’s entrance, pitches, sanitary facilities, additional services and facilities to the care for the environment.
We wish you a unique holiday with a personal touch!
Welcome!

IstriaThe green Mediterranean
Multi-cultural and hospitable, Istria is a wondrous Croatian peninsula which, in a small area brings together, in a very special and gratifying manner, a multitude of diverse attractions. Its crystal clear sea (the nearest warm sea for many Europeans), its shoreline and beaches, its bustling ports, marinas, lively fishing boats and smooth stone streets speak with a genuine charm of the warm Mediterranean, while the picturesque medieval towns perched atop the hills of the Istrian hinterland exude peace and mellowness of the continent. Whereas along the shore, in Pula, Rovinj, Vrsar, Poreč, Novigrad or even in Umag, the legacy of both the Antiquity and the magnificent Serenissima, or rather Venice, is readily identifiable, in the heartland of Istria the spirit of central Europe is clear to see and feel. Istria is one of the most developed tourist regions in the Mediterranean, its ideal climate ensuring a full five month bathing season. It has to be stressed, though, that tourism in Istria has long since ceased being a seasonal activity and has become a way of life the year-round, which makes it a truly perfect destination able to meet the wishes of every type of visitor.

The owners organize boat tours to the nearby Brijuni archipelago and prepare grilled specialties.
This campsite is situated in a picturesque bay nearby Rovinj, next to a larger campsite. Its arrangement is very nice and simple offering its visitors a full experience of holiday in nature under ancient olive trees, in an intimate atmosphere. Are you dreaming of an ideal place for a holiday where you would be able to cast off from the shore towards sunbathed islands, and then sail back to the mainland seeking peace and quiet on a mountain top – and that in a single day? Would you like to stroll along a sunny, fashionable riviera and then, whenever you wish, in no more than 10 kilometers, exchange it for ascetic peace and fresh mountain air in the company of eagles, while your lungs soak up the clean air of fragrant forests in protected nature parks? If you do, welcome to Kvarner. Alongside Istria, Kvarner is the most popular camping region. If you are yearning for the silence of beautiful coves and the solitude of island beaches, head for the blue waters of Kvarner and the islands of Cres, Lošinj, Rab and Krk.A special and unique experience awaits one also in Lika and in the Inland of Croatia. The wonderfully green areas rising but a dozen or so kilometers from the sea, boasting a significant concentration of protected nature parks and being of exceptional ecological value, are the true oases of peace and tranquility which are becoming an ever more popular tourist destination of this land. The Risnjak National Park near Delnice, together with the most magical and most majestic string of 16 cascading lakes – 8 larger and 8 smaller ones – of the famous Croatian national park of Plitvice, provide the ideal holiday place for those who crave a genuine unity with nature.

DalmatiaCoves, beaches and the thousand islands coastline
Dalmatia is one of the oldest and most picturesque regions in all of Europe, which extends along the richly indented shoreline of the Adriatic Sea for almost 400 kilometres, and is divided into the Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik regions. On one side it is bordered by protected landscapes of the Velebit massif (the highest mountain in Croatia), and the Dinaride Mountains with their clear waters, waterfalls and lakes, and on the other by the glorious sunny shores and clean waters of the Adriatic strewn across which are literally a thousand islands, isles, rocks and reefs. Dalmatia is indeed a land that is rightfully called the place of a unique divine creation.
There are many smaller, unpretentious camps that offer as few as 10 camping units. The very fact that you can camp in the intimacy of someone’s court yard, garden or a nice little plot, from which you can take daily excursions to nearby national parks or cities, makes Dalmatia the favorite destination for those in search of a vacation far from the summer crowds.

If you harbour any doubts about this, you only have to look at Paklenica National Park and its other parks - Velebit, Telašćica and Lake Vrana - and the region’s beauty will shine in all of its brilliance. With its mountains, lakes and waterfalls, through its canyons, cliffs, and caves, and on to the azure sea and the magical islands filled with small picturesque ports and romantic beaches, this area has always drawn attention. If you have ever imagined a holiday that allows you to swim in emerald green waters, to bask in the sun on the sandy and pebble beaches of beautiful stone towns of the Zadar Riviera, and to experience the most marvelous sunsets while sampling tempting morsels of sheep’s cheese and a heavenly glass of the famous Maraschino, you are in the right place!

Situated halfway between Omiš and Makarska, this campsite represents an ideal resting-place on the way to southern Croatia. It has characteristic terraced pitches overlooking the sea, a restaurant, and a sunbathing terrace. The campsite was named after the mermaids who, the legend has it, were the first to discover the charms of its gravel beach.
Although 17 centuries of undisturbed life within the walls has resulted in many primal works such as the Emperor’s mausoleum which was later incorporated into the cathedral of Sv. Duje (St. Duje), Diocletian’s palace is today the true symbol of Split. If you go a little further on, you will discover one more jewel on the UNESCO cultural heritage list: the town of Trogir often called the town of museums. There are also the islands of the Split archipelago here: the island of Brač with its beautiful white stone and tradition of sculpture workshops, as well as sunny Hvar with the largest square on both sides of the Adriatic and the first communal theatre in Europe that was built in 1612.

Today, the region is unquestionably one of the top tourist destinations in this part of the world. Once a part of the Republic of Dubrovnik, there is also the nearby Pelješac peninsula with the 5.5 km long walls of the town of Ston. Growing up on the remains of a Greek colony, the island of Korčula with streets that have a fish bone pattern is a true urban gem, whilst in the furthest south, there is the island of Mljet with a Benedictine monastery built on an island in the middle of the great lake.Bound on one side by hills and craggy peaks and on the other by an azure sea and rich wine-growing islands, the Dubrovnik region is truly special and different from all others. With every step you take here, you can inhale the exoticism of the southern Mediterranean and learn the art of the good life.

The campsite is situated in the shade of tamarisk trees and offers an impressive view of the Velebit Mountain which precipitates into the crystal sea. It is situated in a quite location only 10 minutes drive from the highway exit, while a nice pebble and sandy beach is around 30 meters away.
Looking forward to your visit!
