    INNOVATIONS AND BEST PRACTICES

    7.1 Environmental consciosness

    7.1.1 Does t!e institte con"ct a #reen A"it o$ its cam%s an" $acilities&

    An Eco-friendly team has been initiated to function in association with NSS team. It

    maintains an eco-friendly environment in and around the college campus. The

    team suggests the management certain ideas to be implemented within the campus:

    e $lantationf Awareness programme observed by !&' on recommended days.

    (onsidering the suggestions of the eco-friendly team) the #anagement has installed an

    *' !ater $lant for the benefit of students and staff members.

    The effluent water from the *' plant has been recycled and used for gardening. At

    regular intervals +ualitative chec,ing has been done by the deputed team to maintain its proper

    functioning.

    B' Bio*(aste mana+ement

    The waste papers and dry leaves have been recycled by composting and used as manure

    for plants and trees.

    C' Plastic $ree ,one

    Eco-friendly team has organied several Awareness $rograms to prohibit the use of

    plastics inside the campus.

    Awareness programs have been organied to enlighten the students on the effects of

    radiation caused by using mobile phone. So the team has ta,en necessary steps to ban the use of

    mobile phones at least inside the campus.

    Air conditioners are used according to the climatic conditions) and vehicles are allowed

    to enter into the campus when needed.

    Tripping system is used to cut down the overload) and auto change over generator is

    available in the campus.

    green and clean.

    2egetable wastes from the hostel canteen are converted into manures by bio-composting.

    &uman wastes from the college campus have been collected from Septic Tan,s by

    scavenging 2ehicles of the $anchayat "oard. Sometimes) the college arranges for one

    anticipating an overflow.

    "iological wastes are decontaminated and disposed properly as per lab rules.

    &aardous chemicals are used in lesser +uantities.

    &igher Education for *ural Students

    The goal of the institution is to impart higher education for the students from rural

    areas at nominal cost. Its goal is to nourish and to develop the latent s,ills in them and to

    ma,es them employable.

    The institution often education in a new perspective which ma,es them higher and

    thin, innovatively. It offers financial support to the meritorious and the needy. Ta,ing into

    consideration that villages are the bac,bone of India) the institution educate a great member

    of rural fol, and set them to compete with the students of urban area.

    The education provided by the institution is not only informative but also holistic as

    well. The teachers are dedicated and they strive hard to bring out the students; potential and

    to ma,e them self reliance.

    The aim of the institution is to direct the students to nourish themself by providing

    them the necessary awareness) assistance) support and guidance to transcend from the

    rural and under- privileged segment for a better education and career.

    Students from various school and department have participated in various competition

    conducted by the institution and various programs of their interest to encourage them. >urther

    we encourage them by distributing pries. So) the students are motivated to 0oin higher

    The college has planned to provide necessary facility to the students in various

    fields. Number of underdeveloped villages is there in and around the college. #ost of the

    villages do not have higher secondary school in their own village. It has planned to offer

    research course for all the communities. The institution ta,es necessary measures to plan and

    implement to include the e6cluded students.

    to the rural students.

    and other private agencies for socio economical students to carry out their higher

    7. Pro-lem Encontere" an" Reserve Re+ar"in+

    . The aim of the institution is to offer higher education to rural students) the entry of

    students is low in the admission is full sanctioned strength of students with lower

    mar,s are also admitted and developed latent s,ills.

    . It is difficult to get private scholarship and fellowship. The college offers the

    scholarship only from the government but every year students facing financial

    difficulties. Scholarship given by the government only to particular community alone.

    Even other bac,ward community not able to obtain scholarship from the government.. The college has followed strictly the state government rules for admission of research
