Usage Care Warranty
SET-UP:
Crazy Crib: Remove Crazy Crib and any accessories from
stuff sack, and lay flat on the ground. Opening should face
to the side. Place between trees or supports that are 10’ –
16’ apart. For best results and easiest setup, pull webbing
until the buckle end extends just 8” from hammock, then
push the hammock towards the buckle end until the
hammock is gathered in a tight bunch. Position the drip
guards close to the buckle and about 12” from hammock
on non-buckle side (Figure 1). Repeat for both ends of the
hammock. Next, loop webbing around supports and thread
webbing through the buckles. Webbing will resist slippage
when properly threaded, as shown in Figure 2. Center
hammock between support trees and tighten webbing until
hammock hangs loosely but secure.
LEX: Remove the Crib LEX and any accessories from the
stuff sack and lay flat on the ground. Opening should face
down the middle on the LEX. Place between trees or
supports that are 10’ – 16’ apart. For additional support,
insert sleeping pad (not included) inside pocket of LEX.
Assemble the shock-corded Easton® poles. Feed
assembled pole through the mesh pocket on the outside of
crib (between the nylon and the netting fabric). Hook the
ends into the grommet holes on webbing (Figure 3). (This
will be tight when new.) Repeat this procedure at the other
end of the hammock with the other pole. Next pull webbing
until the buckle end extends just 8” from hammock, then
push the hammock towards the buckle end until the
hammock is gathered in a tight bunch. Position the drip
guards close to the buckle and about 12” from hammock
on non-buckle side (Figure 1). Repeat for both ends of the
hammock. Next, loop webbing around supports and thread
webbing through the buckles. Webbing will resist slippage
when properly threaded, as shown in Figure 2. Center
hammock between support trees and tighten webbing until
hammock hangs loosely but secure.
TARPS: All Crazy Creek tarps come with accessory cord,
tent stakes and cord tensioners. Prior to using the tarp in
the field, it is necessary to cut cord in lengths and attach
to tarp using bowline or similar knot. Recommended
lengths ar 6’ to 10’ on ridgeline and 4’ to 6’ on all other
pullouts. (Tensioners on the main ridgeline are not
recommended.) It is helpful to sear the ends of the cord
with a lighter or match to prevent fraying. Once in the
field, attach ridgeline cord to supports 1’ to 2’ higher than
desired finished height, center tarp between supports and
tighten. It is crucial that the ridgeline be high and very
tight. Once ridgeline is taut, use tent stakes, trees or rocks
for anchoring the remaining pullouts along the bottom. It is
not necessary to use every pullout each time the tarp is set
up. Adjust as necessary to keep tarp fabric taut.

Cribs are designed for one person.
STORAGE: The Crazy Crib may be used as off-ground
storage during the day. Never store food in your hammock,
as the odors may attract animals.
